In spite of having to deal with some plumbing issues, host John cleaned up sparkling clean just before we arrrived and everything worked well. This is such a well-stocked house with everything we needed and then some. The bedroom mattresses were so comfy and the art on the walls beautiful. The neighborhood was so quiet and the yard immaculately kept up. We would definitely stay here again.
Neighborhood was wonderful to walk around and take in the nature! Contacting the owner was easy! Zero complications finding the house, beds were comfortable and gave me a good nights rest. Living room was big enough for the 4 of us adults and included Netflix. Staying here again in June!
Able to walk to coffee shops and really nice local bookstore. Very quiet neighborhood. The bungalow was charming and comfortable and plenty of space for us. Did not cook but appreciated coffee machine and use of washer and dryer. Good amount of towels and the puano and guitar lent nice ambiance. Yards well landscaped with some lovely flowers.
Great to host you! The hot water has been sorted out. I have a placard in the bathroom and house manual of the correct orientation of valves on the vintage clawfoot tub/shower. Otherwise hot and cold mix in that faucet and send lukewarm water to other faucets in the house.
The location was ideal. A lovely part of South Seattle right near beautiful Seward Park in the Lakewood area. Walkable to great cafe and bookstore. This house is cozy!
Truly charming home, very cozy with a nice yard. Easy access to both Seward Park and views of Mt Rainier. Owner was very responsive and provided clear instructions on check-in and check-out. Clawfoot tub may be a physical challenge for some rare folks.
Cute, quaint home! Neighborhood was quiet, backyard was amazing. John was so easy to work with and communicative. We would totally stay again! Highly recommend!
It was in a great location! Close to a park where you could walk or bike. The house was a little older but it was well kept. Very cozy and comfortable. I woils definitely stay again!
This cute, two bedroom home was very clean and within walking distance of restaurants and parks. The back deck and garden were nice places to cool off in the summer heat. The host was very responsive to messages. Would stay here again!
We adored this house, it has a beautiful backyard and is well appointed with comfortable beds. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to coffee, a bookstore, and a couple restaurants. John was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!
Very cute bungalow. Well appointed. Comfortable beds. Good communication from host. Great neighborhood and close to some cute coffee shops/restaurants. Not far from Columbia city with more shopping/restaurants. Would stay again.
The owner provided great information and was exceptionally accommodating as I had to change my reservations a couple times. I do wish he had told me to check the left side of the thermostat screen to make sure my revised temperature stayed all night ! Woke up to a brisk 65 degrees house - not my usual coming from Florida :-) He did provide exceptional guidance on using the shower in the claw foot tub - brought back old memories from my first rental apt. The home has many unique elements from 100 years ago - definitely added to my enjoyment of a work trip!

Thanks for staying at the Padgett House! I'll write up a plackard with some additional thermostat instructions. I lived in the Keys and folks would bust out parkas as soon as the temp dropped below 70°.
Came to town for the Seafair triathlon and the home was just what we needed. Very comfy beds, clean linens, basic kitchen items provided. Happy with the use of the owners bike tools as well as we prepped for the race. Convenient driveway parking and a nice quiet neighborhood
Cute little old school place! Our host was great with lots of helpful info. 2 comfy beds, hot shower and close to public transportation.. exactly what we needed! Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. A side note, the bathtub/shower is kind of tall, and you have to step up over to get in. I say that just in case one may have trouble with that.
Overall we’re happy with rental. Host was very easy and pleasant to work with. We couldn’t use the microwave and the owner bought a new one right away. It is an older house that needs some updates, especially kitchen countertops. Having said that it is also less expensive than other rentals in the area plus it has the convenience of a driveway. It has worked great for us.
