This is a very nice property. Everything was new and in good working order. This house is a great place to stay for access to the beach and the Redwoods National Park.
The property was very clean and centrally located for the activities we had planned. Nicely appointed with everything we needed for several days. Host was very responsive to questions. Neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
We had a wonderful mother-daughter trip. The house was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was very very quiet and a quick drive to a beautiful sunset. It was perfect for days of hiking in the redwoods and exploring the beautiful beaches.
This is a completely remodeled older property that had all the amenities of home. Very clean and very comfy. Very easy to stay in touch w the host. It appeared to be in an older section of Crescent City but it was a nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to the Redwood parks and the ocean. Had a very nice stay.
I took my kids (teenagers) on a trip to California to see the redwoods. This property was located perfectly for us to do day trips all over the area. It was perfect for our family. The whole house was clean and neat. There were TV’s in each of the bedrooms and one in the main room so we could all watch our shows and relax. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking as far as dishes go which was super helpful. There is a washer and dryer onsite which was also such a gift! We had a great time and appreciated our stay- thank you! The property manager was easily accessible and left detailed messages for us so we didn’t even have any questions. It was a wonderful experience.
The house was a very decent size for the price and place was very clean and most everything was in working order. Our host was extremely responsive to all of our questions and requests
Quaint little town. The house was immaculate inside, it did need the grass cut but not a big deal. everythign worked and the entire house was well provisioned.Defintely a value for the price.

Vacation
Inside of the house was nice and clean. But One bedroom no closet. Washer and dryer were outside. Outside of the house needs work, weeds and grass were too tall. Was posted/pictured view of the beach from the house but house was several blocks away from the beach and none viewable!Very deceiving!
My husband and I came to Crescent City to visit the redwood forest. The location of this property was a perfect distance from Jedidiah Smith state park and parks south of Crescent City. The property was a bit rough on the outside but inside was brand new and spotless. Neighborhood was quiet and safe and close to many restaurants, visitors center and beaches. “Minutes walk from the beach” in the listing was misleading- it is a 25 minute walk to a nearby beach. However it’s worth it to drive and spend time on the beach. Gorgeous! We had a fabulous time in the area - the enormous trees do not disappoint. Would definitely visit Crescent City again.
Pros….Location was perfect for the places we needed access to as far as hiking in the forest and enjoying the beach coast. The newly renovated house was clean, cozy and fully equipped with all of the essentials needed for your stay. We enjoyed the heaters in every room and the added touches with the pantry were extremely helpful for cooking, as well as the water in the freg. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe. Cons….upon arrival we had a hard time with the “smart door lock” and the code, same numbers on different circles and the door did not open…we got in contact with the host and she had an extra key on property that we used instead. (Thank you so much) The front bedrooms bed was a way to soft and hard to get out of as we sank in the middle of the bed. Also the bathroom exhaust fan failed to work consistently causing major condensation to fill up the room. Side note if you could add a full length mirror somewhere that would be awesome. Outside of those few hiccups overall great property for the cost and area! Great and attentive host!
This property has sub standard 200 mattresses which are ordered online and come folded in a box, meaning they have NO side support and are basically foam. These are not industry standard and we were shocked when we laid down on them with how little support they had. We had been excited for our stay as we visited the redwoods, but that first night turned into a frantic attempt to reach VRBO and the property manager, neither of which were helpful, and then ultimately going to a hotel. Money lost on this one. I recommended that the owners replace them with normal hotel mattresses because anyone who needs more support or has back issues will likely have the same issue we did, but the property manager just turned it back on me saying everyone loves their mattresses. The inside was represented well by the pictures. The outside was not and there is no view of the beach, nor could we see any access point from where this home was located. There is no welcome book saying where to access the beach. The property looks out to a home with a bunch of parked cars and bushes. There is no air conditioning or fan in this unit. I paid for this months' in advance for my son's 18th birthday and it was a huge stress to find a hotel at 9:00 at night because the mattress was so unsuportive, but my husband who is disabled could not sleep on it. ZERO compassion from the property owner or manager and now I'm out 800. I hope they take this to heart and put standard hotel mattresses in.
