This was a wonderful, serene cabin on the mountain. It had everything we needed. The view near sunset from the balcony was beautiful! I hope to stay here again next year.
Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin. I stayed here during a difficult time, and the quiet surroundings and cozy space helped me find calm again. Clean, comfortable, safe and surrounded by nature it felt like the perfect place to breathe and reset.
Cabin was well described and had everything expected. Clean quiet and quaint. Definitely want 4x4 for the last part of the hill getting there. Pretty far from Brevard. Would stay here again.
This place is amazingly peaceful. Tons of outdoor activities are within a short drive. Pretty place chapel was the main reason for our vist to the area and was within a short drive (20min) and we were able to make a sunrise viewing with no problem. The cabin was very nice and clean. Definitely recommend giving this one a look if you are traveling to the Brevard area.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway with our dog and absolutely loved it! The cabin was spotless, felt nearly brand new, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it felt for a tiny cabin—we never felt cramped. The setting was peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, pet-friendly retreat!
Very serene environment which was just what we were looking for. Very clean accommodations. Such a sweet and peaceful getaway. We are thankful and blessed!
This little « hillside hideaway » couldn’t have been any cuter. It was easy to find, SO clean and provided everything my kids and I needed (beyond expectation) during our stay. Small but so well thought out and efficient that we hardly noticed! The four of us fit perfectly and we were very comfortable. It’s close to some fun places to eat but I also cooked a few meals in the cabin and that was great too. Loved it! I’m already looking at dates to book again next summer The hostess is very kind and i absolutely recommend!
We had a lovely stay at this charming cabin, which had a cosy, homely feel and came equipped with all the amenities we needed. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the host was easily reachable if needed. The photos accurately reflect the accommodation, which was reassuring. The cabin’s remote location made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside. The only downside for us was the lack of curtains or blinds on the windows—not for privacy, as the location is very secluded—but simply to help darken the room for a well-deserved lie-in after busy days out exploring.A fun and unique feature was the bedroom setup. Accessing the bed required a bit of crawling (we’re over 55, so it felt a bit like glamping!), which we found amusing and all part of the adventure. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to truly get away from it all—without having to give up the comforts of home
Our stay here was quiet and relaxing. We were attending a wedding at Pretty Place Chapel which was very breathtaking. We also took a trip to Looking Glass Falls. It was amazing. We did have a medical issue that required to different trips to the ER. The owners were more than gracious in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond expectations to help. We are very grateful and thankful. We would recommend anyone traveling in the area to check out the cabin. Be aware that the driveway is quite steep, but with a little momentum, it wasn’t too bad. I would recommend an AWD, but it is not necessary. Once in the cabin, it’s quite worth the little steep drive up. It did not disappoint! Take a moment and check it out! God Bless!
What a wonderful place! I stayed here for my birthday weekend with my partner and I wish we could have stayed longer because we really enjoyed being there. This place is tucked away so perfectly but its very easy to find! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the things needed for cooking and cleaning. The loft area was low, we had to crawl in there lol but it was super comfy and we slept sooo good. The hot tub was very relaxing and there were great suggestions for food and activities left from the host. Everything inside and outside was incredibly clean. I think we will try to book this one again next year in the summer or fall! I do want to add in that the driveway was sooooo steep, we chose to drive our truck because it has a tow package and all wheel drive, but there was a moment I felt like the my Subaru would have climbed the hill better ( because of the weight difference and length and also would have been slightly easier to back up and turn around) . I could be wrong about that. I don’t do much mountain climbing but either way we got up and down with a tiny struggle but like I said previously, SO SO worth the stay. We will be back one day :)

What makes this property unique
Hillside Hideaway cabin is unique in the fact that the Martin family built it. What started out as a Father and Son pre-fab kit project as a tiny cabin in the woods for family members to enjoy, turned into an opportunity to share with others. Blood, sweat, love, and patience created the wonderful cabin that we call our home away from home.
