Welcome to country living at its best: inspiring architecture, comfortable and tasty atmosphere, seclusion and convenience.
Located just 7 miles from the center of woodstock's renowned cafes, farmer's markets and shops it makes this property a welcome experience any time of the year.
On a 5 acres of land, enjoy the privacy of the beautiful saline/salt water solar-heated pool, jump on the trampoline, organize a ping-pong tournament, play ball on the big open field or let your children have fun in the tree house while you just relax on the deck.
You can enjoy the stone barbeque for amazing grilling or make your own bread or pizza in the wood oven.

The house has an open layout of 2-stories and offers spacious living room, 3 bedrooms. There is 2 bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and one bedroom downstairs, with a full bathroom as well.
The living room has high ceiling and a wooden stove. The kitchen is open to the living room and includes stainless steel appliances as well as other cooking tools. The dining table includes seating for 8. You can easily step out from the living room to the deck.
Linens & towels are provided. There is a washer/dryer.

Stay connected with high-speed, wireless internet, while you enjoy the country setting and watch the deer meander past our many windows. Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome.

Quirky and characterful country cabin

We had a wonderful time in this rustic retreat. There is plenty of room, and some great outdoor space for the kids to play around in. The pool is a good size and was a lovely temperature for our summer stay. The house itself is full of character - not a boring bland cookie cutter cabin - and we loved that. That slightly 'shabby chic' feel might not be for everyone - if you're looking for marble counter tops and designer furniture this probably isn't the place for you. But we liked it! The surrounding area has much to offer and Kim was a super responsive host.

Catskills Gem

Perfectly located between bustling Woodstock and quaint Phoenicia, this comfortable Catskills cottage is set on a lush, green property with a soundscape of cicadas and birdsong; a truly relaxing spot for a summer family getaway. There are tons of activities nearby, from fishing to live music, or just stay home and enjoy the pool, pingpong table, and deck. Well stocked with games and puzzles. The kitchen is very well set up for cooks, and the outdoor grill/oven yielded amazing homemade pizza. There are also many excellent local eateries. Hosts are exceptionally nice and helpful, responded immediately to all questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Lovely Escape

Beautiful, unique lodging--we had a truly wonderful time and really felt like we could get away from it all! We loved the ambience and charm of the house and had a fabulous time swimming and playing in the yard. We felt lucky to be staying there. Highly recommended!

Our perfect getaway from the city

We had an amazing time at this house which felt like a nice little retreat into nature (deer, woodpeckers, chipmunks, wild turkey...). The host was super sweet, made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, and was very responsive. We lucked out with warm sunny weather so our son really enjoyed the outdoor pool (and indoor mini pool table) and hammock, plus we ate out on the back deck everyday, used the big outdoor stone oven which took time but was worth it! The bedrooms were comfortable and the living room was rustic/cozy for us and our very sleepy dog. We would definitely come back!

Secluded paradise

We stayed at this property for several weeks and couldn’t have been more thrilled. The property is designed with such creativity and thoughtfulness that it was the perfect getaway from our busy lives. We stayed with our two kids, ages 7 and 9, and there was so much to keep them entertained. One friend who came to visit called it a “private resort.” It is definitely in nature — with plenty of big bugs and a couple of bear sightings nearby — but if you keep an open mind that just adds to the experience. Kim was also a terrific communicator— warm and responsive. The location of the property is also ideal — secluded but also close to Phonecia and Woodstock. Highly recommend staying here!

Amazing getaway!

For my family, this was the perfect getaway. We've been renting in Woodstock area since 2012, and this was our favorite house to date. It is eclectically decorated with a well appointed kitchen and perfect layout for family with teen and 10-year-old. Location is secluded yet within a half-hour of any hike you want to take, Kaaterskill Falls, Woodstock, Kingston, and Saugerties--15 minutes from Phoenicia which has hiking, tubing and railway biking. Kenneth L. Wilson State Park is 5 min away and has nice, easy nature trails plus kayaking and canoeing on ridiculously scenic lake. The owner Kim is communicative, welcoming and responsive. We will definitely book again!

A marvelous house in a wonderful area

KIm's house is great. We were three adults, two kids and a dog. The grounds of the house were enough for the dog to roam free but never get into trouble, the pool was a joy in perfect weather, the dual, outdoor stone hearth and pizza oven served up most of out meals. Inside there's an artful, funky and welcoming vibe, you feel the history of the place and owners but never lack for comfort or utility. We really hope to spend more time there again.

lovely vacation home

We had a fantastic 11 nights at this house. We have rented in the area for 5 straight years, this house was among our favorites. The grounds are beautiful and the pull down screen was great for nightly movies with our 9 year old son. Our dog loved playing with the frogs and joining us on nature hikes in the nearby state park. Kim was a delight to deal with and remarkably available to me. Highly recommend.

Great location....fun house!

We rented this house for five days with another family and had a great time. The kids played ping pong and bad-mitten (we set up our net in the yard right off the porch), climbed the tree house, and jumped in the pool (the water was divine!). The grownups talked, ate, drank, swam, listened to music (there's a great sound system there), and at night we watched movies on the big projector, streaming stuff off our laptop. The house is cozy, with lots of character and there are games and books to keep everyone busy. We really enjoyed exploring the area too...we hiked Mt. Tremper and walked around Woodstock and Phoenicia. We enjoyed visiting the Buddhist Temple and had a great lunch at Oriole 9. Kim was a wonderful host, recommending activities and making sure we were comfortable. This place is great for anyone who wants to escape the city and spend some relaxing time surrounded by nature.

Great home, loved location and pool

We have rented various properties in the Woodstock area and this was by far our favorite. The driveway was long so the house was far from the road and the lot was secluded. The house was lovely - my mother-in-law thought a bit too rustic for her but the rest of us thought it was perfect. We liked the open floor plan downstairs and the modern kitchen. The five of us were able to sleep, eat and relax comfortably. The wifi worked great. The pool was all our favorite part. Our 8 year-old and 10 year-old spent hours playing in the tree fort, running around the property and finding all types of critters: newts, toads, frogs, chipmunks, a snake, and a crayfish.

Alice of heaven!!!!

This home is amazing!!! It's peace and quiet all around. The pool is nice and we had a great time in it. The background of the forest and the quiet and calm nature of nature makes this a nice slice of serenity. I will recommend this house to any and everyone. The owner is such a nice person that answers all messages promptly. She's awesome!!! This stay was great for me and my family. The tree house and ping pong table was a big hit with the kids (the pool was the biggest).

Great getaway to the mountains of NY

Eclectic retreat in Mt. Tremper NY. Minutes to Woodstock- 25 min to ski!! House was everything the description led me to believe. Great time with the family in a secluded private house! Yard had lots of room for the kids to run and explore. Owner was very courteous and communicated well before, during, and after the visit. I would recommend this house to someone who is looking to unplug from the everyday hustle and bustle!

Warm and comfortable getaway house

Wonderful house, both more homey and more stylish than it appears in the photos. Solid kitchen, super comfortable living room, nice bathrooms. House is in a "neighborhood", but tucked away to give good amount of privacy. I actually did not see a living thing (human or animal) the entire visit! Convenient to Woodstock and Phoenicia. Good hiking options nearby. Owner could not have been easier to work with, very friendly and responsive despite the fact they were on the other side of the ocean while I was there! Highly recommend!

What makes this property unique

What is unique about this house is the setting. The outdoor is really amazing. There is a big open field, which is great for every season. The house is very private, no immediate neighbors, it's far from the road, the driveway is about 150 yard but it has all the convenience of being close to town - both Phoenicia, Woodstock. The supermarket and the fruit stand are 5 minutes drive.
