We rented the two Rockne houses for a family reunion. As a host, Matthew was easy to reach and responded quickly to our inquiries. The house was clean, the A/C worked great and we appreciated that there were lots of activities available for all ages. There were, however, some areas where the property did not live up to its high price point and description of being a "Luxury Estate." Upon arrival, we appeared to be lacking enough towels, but then discovered them in the dryer which was difficult to open since it had a broken handle. Additionally the kitchens felt understocked for a property that is designed to accommodate a large number of people. Some lightbulbs were out, a fan remote was missing, and a couple of the other ones appeared to have dead batteries so we couldn't adjust the fan/lighting in a couple of rooms. The 2121 house has an awkward layout in the basement with no bathroom and one bedroom which can only be accessed through another bedroom. Overall, the property worked for us and we had a good stay, but we were expecting more attention to detail on certain items given the listing description.

We were promised a luxury estate for 35 guests, great for kids and specifically infants - the property did not deliver on most of the promises. One house is significantly more updated than the other, but the pictures are mostly of that property vs. the older one. There were concerns around safety, cleanliness and space - which the property manager partially addressed following our need to rent an additional property to safely and comfortably accommodate our party - but the family reunion we'd planned had to be almost entirely adjusted as we were not able to safely or comfortably host at the rental property, given we were only essentially able to use about half of it.
