About this property
Light-filled Carpenter's Cottage w/ EV charger!
*Beyond the north side of the property lies the turnpike, so there is some road noise. We rarely notice it, especially inside the house, but we want to point this out to those who are sensitive to traffic noise.*
This adorable wooden cottage feels bright, open, and spacious. It has modern amenities alongside its rustic charm. While it is a short distance away from our family home and one can hear the ambient hum of the highway, there is ample privacy with a separate parking spot, walkway, landscaping, and a private deck.
The cottage sleeps 2 in the queen sleigh bed, but there is seating for a dinner party of 6. It sits on a south-facing hill, looking out towards Monument Mountain. You’ll love it!

We were visiting Stockbridge just for a 2 day stay. It was a charming cottage off the beaten path that was inviting and comfortable. We wished that we could have spent more time there, because it had every convenience to meet all of our needs. It was close enough to downtown Stowe, but far enough to avoid any crowds. We loved our stay there.
The carpenters cottage was very charming and very nice. It was close to the town of Stockbridge which made it easy to partake of all the town had to offer. It was clean and well kept. The neighborhood it was in was really nice. I would highly recommend the Carpenters Cottage to anyone staying in Stockbridge and the surrounding area.
We had a very lovely stay at this light-filled cottage close to downtown Stockbridge. Elise & Mickey thought of everything, all the creature comforts, great coffee, fully equipped kitchen, easy to use light switches, Netflix & comfortable temperature. Loved high ceilings, all the light from the big windows, nice private deck. Would stay again.
Quiet cabin at the end of a road. Well equipped kitchen, good light, multiple seating areas, comfy bed.
Everything was clean and well organized.
Highly recommended!
The cottage is charming. The location is nicely set back from the road and really very quiet considering the owner and family live on the property. We were grateful for a fast ride home after Tanglewood concerts since most traffic doesn't head in this direction. The cottage is well stocked. There is a bit of a path to carry luggage from parking area to door.
This property is amazing! The cottage makes wonderful use of the space and manages to feel cozy and spacious all at once. We loved curling up on the couch by the fire and reading, playing games on the big kitchen table and just generally getting away from everything. The surrounding towns were really fun to walk around and I can't wait to come back when all the amazing looking hiking opportunities are under less ice. The hosts were kind and communicative, and while nothing went wrong, I feel very certain if it had, they would have responded immediately.
