Guest access This tiny home is called the Chicago Ridge Tiny Home and sits on 30 acres surrounded by the White River National Forest. There are two other homes on the property (The Lodge at Snow Cross Inn and Mt of the Holy Cross Tiny). That said, this tiny home is situated so you don’t see any of those structures from the front facing views of the house, so it feels very private and one with nature, yet still has the comforts of civilization nearby. Other things to note - We love pets, and want to accommodate your furry friends. To help offset the added cleaning time pets require, there is an additional fee per booking which you can see under Additional Fees. Any guest who brings more guests or pets than noted in the booking will be charged double the extra guest or pet fee per night. We ask for full transparency up front. - This tiny home has a composting toilet, the Separett Villa 9200. We encourage you to Google it for more information on how it works and reviews from users. I have used this in my personal home, and it is amazing how the toilet does not have any odor at all due to the clever waste system and built in fan directing any fumes outside 24/7. Waterless toilets by Separett are the leaders in environmental oriented alternatives to traditional toilet systems.

The Jacobs Family has lived in Colorado for more than 45 years, raising their children in the Vail Valley. We created the Snow Cross Inn and Tiny Homes in 2017, with the name inspired by the snow capped peak Mt. of the Holy Cross visible to the north. We enjoy sharing this unique Rocky Mountain experience with unparalled views in every direction with our guests who come from all over the world.
Why they chose this property
The area is located along a designated scenic byway with convenient access to Highway 24 and alpine skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, rafting and the many events held in the nearby communities of Vail, Beaver Creek and Leadville.
What makes this property unique
Although the property is off grid, the massive solar panel grid provides plenty of power to make it feel like an on grid property while maintaining a low carbon footprint. Propane gas keeps everyone warm and cozy.
