What a dream property! A perfect spot for our family to come together at Christmas to eat great food, take long walks, and relax! The house was very spacious and well laid out! Kingsburg itself is so special and this spot made it the perfect place to enjoy it. Bonus- the stargazing at night was outstanding!
This is a comfortable, well-stocked home in a peaceful and beautiful setting. We enjoyed walks to the beach and watching the sunrise from the deck. A wonderful spot for a restful vacation!
We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely home.Catherine was an extremely accommodating host. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we could have wished for or needed. We appreciated that the home and property were extremely dog-friendly as we were travelling with our pup.The location and scenery were beyond amazing!
We loved our stay in Kingsburg! The house was well-stocked, communication with the host was excellent, and the home was clean and very nicely decorated. The view was beautiful and we loved seeing the colorful sunrise and sunsets from the deck. The neighborhood was fantastic with 2 different beaches to explore. It was our first visit to Nova Scotia and we are already talking about when to go back!
This is a wonderful, comfortable, fully equipped home with great access to many beautiful outdoor spaces and adventures. Thank you for your responsiveness and suggestions.
We enjoyed our stay, our accommodation and NS. Property was clean, well stocked, tastefully decorated. Property manager promptly responded to our questions. I would like to come here next year again.
Communication with host was excellent 😊 Thank you Catherine!
Very clean and organized home with everything you could need. Very easy to relax here.
Beautiful and quiet area to stay in. Walk to beach and beach area is incredibly unique. Rose Bay Bistro nearby served amazing food.
An incredible property with the most amazing sea views. Truly an idyllic location.
The cottage is beautiful, extremely well equipped - it lacks nothing. Quality linens, beautiful artwork, it’s a wonderful property. It’s obvious that this is Catherine’s home - not just a rental.
10/10 would recommend!
What a beautiful, simple but well curated home.
Astounding views! We watched the waves crashing the shore and deer on the back lawn. It’s an idyllic spot.
The interior design is thoughtful, comfortable and sprinkled with enough local charm to keep you smiling at every turn.
We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back.
Marvellous accommodation, superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would be ideal for 2 couples with children.
Located conveniently for beaches at Kingsburg, Hirtles, Rissers and crescent.
When hurricane Lee threatened to spoil our vacation, Catherine went out of her way to adjust her plans to allow us to save our holiday.
Highly recommended.

Peaceful, idyllic setting
Our party of five, two couples and a singleton, enjoyed a peaceful, quiet week in this fabulous home in Rose Bay, just a short walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen - Hirtle Beach. The home is very nicely furnished, with all the necessities and more!
Georgia and Catherine were fantastic to work with from the rental to check-in and check-out.
I highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting an escape from tourist traffic, but near enough to the spectacular villages of Lunenberg and Mahone Bay to make outings convenient and easy.

Thank you! Was such a pleasure to have you all!! You are welcome back anytime.
The home is lovely, very clean, and the views are spectacular. The space is large and functional and, although we were just a couple, it would easily accommodate six people. The furnishings and bed were comfortable - the use of the woodstove was extra special as there was snow and winter weather during our December stay. The coastal decor in the house is vey nice, including lots of local Nova Scotia artwork. The owner provided excellent communication and made extra effort to decorate the home for the holidays. Highly recommend!
Relaxing, comfortable and fully eqipped beach house in Kingsburgh. Rose cafe is just up the steet for food necessities or 30 minutes to Bridgewater if you need to stock up. But you may never want to leave the views or the sound of the ocean from the deck. The host, Catherine, is very responsive to any questions. You'll feel right at home and very welcomed.
The house and area were perfect. Catherine was wonderfully communicative. We found out shortly after our arrival that we lost our dad. Although our stay wasn’t what we had hoped for, a relaxing few days from the city, it became a lovely place for us to be together as a family and grieve. It’ll always be a place close to our hearts. Thank you Catherine!
Our week and a half at Seahaven Cottage was everything we’d hoped for and more! The setting is breathtakingly beautiful. Sunrises were lovely, and the view of the ocean from the hillside was spectacular. The house is airy and light, and it is furnished for absolute comfort. Communication with Catherine was seamless; a house manual and lots of information on the area enhanced our experience. While the entire East coast suffered sweltering heat, the ocean breezes in Kingsburg kept us cool and able to enjoy outdoor activities. Finally, we appreciated the walkability of the village where we enjoyed hours of birding. We would return to Seahaven in a heartbeat; thank you Catherine for sharing your jewel of a holiday house with us!

Wonderful
My family and I spent a March weekend in Catherine's beautiful home. It was wonderfully furnished and stocked, leaving nothing to be wanted. Although, it was cold outside we were warm, cozy and very comfortable inside. The layout and design (and furnishings) of the home was great for the six of us and we never felt confined or cramped. The views from the many windows was extraordinary and even lured us out of our beds at 0630 to watch the sunrise. Catherine was kind, attentive and answered all our questions in a timely manner; even looking after mailing a forgotten item. Thank you so much for a wonderful, bonding weekend that we will never forget. I would recommend Catherine's home wholeheartedly.

Wonderful Vacation in Kingsburg!
Our family could not have asked for more during our week-long stay at Catherine and Georgia's. This was our fourth time visiting Kingsburg (we used to stay directly on the ocean), but this was by far the best vacation yet! We found the house bright and airy, beautifully appointed in a light, neutral palette (no dark, mismatched furnishings here!) The setting was idyllic: perched high on a quiet, gravel road, we could look down at a small lake, rolling meadows (with rabbits, deer and even a porcupine) and Kingsburg Bay in the distance. We spent the week surfing the pounding waves at nearby Hirtle's Beach (just down the path), exploring the tidal pools in the shale and slate outcroppings, hiking to spectacular Gaff Point, kayaking on the ocean around the LaHave Islands. Lunenburg was just a 20-minute drive away for dinner, but we also took advantage of the comfort and luxury of our beach house to prepare yummy seafood feasts (try the local scallops from Adams & Knickle). All in all, it was heavenly--even the weather cooperated! Wish we were there now! Looking forward to going back :)

Stunning and Panoramic Describes it Perfectly
What a beautiful home in a beautiful area! We were there for a week and wish it could have been much longer. The house was spotlessly clean. It is within walking distance to a small beach and about a 5-10 minute drive to two other beaches (Kingsburg & Hirtles). The view from the main areas of the home and deck are truly inspiring and the surroundings are so peaceful. It is also close to various tourist destinations (e.g. 20-30 minutes to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, LaHave Ferry). Catherine has taken care of providing everything a person could need to make one's stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, and she always responds VERY promptly if you run into any issues. (We just had a couple questions about the recycling rules in the area and she was very quick to get back to us with the information). We did have a bit of a challenge finding the house initially due to a detour sign and a GPS that led us astray, so our suggestion would be that you try and arrive before dark because the location can be a bit tricky to find the first time if you're unfamiliar with the area. We have no hesitation recommending this property and would love to return someday.

Thank you for your beautiful words. I’d love to welcome you back anytime.
This special property is such a welcoming refuge from the concerns of busy city life.
Driving into the community we knew we had made the right choice to visit this breathtaking area of Nova Scotia. And sure enough, just entering the driveway to this delightful cottage sealed the deal — even on a grey rainy day!!
To top it off, as soon as we opened the door, we were immediately greeted with charming, cozy comfort. It is spacious, well-appointed, and designed with a gorgeous colour palette and furnishings.
The sweeping views out the large windows put on quite a show with the changing light and weather conditions throughout the day, while inside is a delightful gallery of NS folk art with thoughtful touches right down to the rope and tartan coasters.
We really enjoyed our hikes on Hirtles Beach and exploring the nearby areas, and chatting to friendly locals, but truly, just staying home in this hilltop slice of paradise was a joy. You can tell this home is treasured by the owner and it is wonderful that she shares this experience with others.
Thanks to Catherine for being such a responsive, generous and gracious host. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. We are already looking forward to returning to this magical place and will gladly recommend it to friends.

Hi there! I am from Ontario, Canada, a mum of 2 boys. I love my Maritime beach house but am not able to visit as often as I would like!
Why they chose this property
I love, LOVE Nova Scotia and fell in love with the pastoral views of Kingsburg. The sound of the crashing surf and the peaceful views of the grasses on the hillside make it an ideal vacation spot. Plus, access is easy to one of many, many beaches as well as the town of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Worthy destinations.
