A quite clean charming place 10 min away from downtown DC. Very clean efficiency bedroom with a closet, in-unit laundry, bathroom with fresh towels & amenities. There is TV, fireplace, mini fridge, toaster, microwave, hot water boiler, cutlery, caps & plates.
ONLY solo travelers are hosted. No additional guests allowed.
There is a gym, tennis court & walking trail, 5 min away from the house.
Absolutely NO SMOKING - inside or outside - no vaping, no cigarettes, no weeds, no drugs of any kind!
The space
Location: The house is in an exclusive neighborhood in Congress Heights. It is close to downtown DC, the Wharf and the Navy Yard. Quiet & clean neighborhood.
Parking: There is free street parking. Please do not block people’s driveways. Park at your own risk. Please lock your car and don’t leave valuables in sight. I do not take any responsibility for any theft.
Note: This is a family house. Myself and my elderly parents live upstairs. You may see us sitting upstairs on the porch or my mom may be taking care of her plants in the backyard.
Guest access
The room is in the basement which has walk out access, patio and is fenced.
Access: You can access the apartment from the back through the side gate. The gate is open. Go in and follow the walkway. The key is in a lock box by the door on the patio. The lockbox code will be given to you when you book. The security door is not locked. Use the key to open the door and once you are in, you can lock the security door from inside.

Other things to note
Closet: There is a closet where you will find clean towels, extra pillow and blanket.
Fridge: I leave 2 bottles of water, two cans of soda in the fridge and instant coffee, creamer and sugar on the counter for your enjoyment.
Bathroom: In the bathroom, there are soaps, shampoo etc. Feel free to use.
Fireplace: Please do not turn on the fireplace from April to October.
Patio: There are lounge chairs on the patio with garden view. Enjoy:
Trash: There are two trash cans; one in the bathroom and another next to the fridge. Please collect trash there and upon check out, kindly throw the trash and recycling in the respective bins which are found on the right side of the house in the yard. The trash bag is in the bathroom closet under the sink. There are brooms and mop in the second closet.
