Everything went very well! The place was the perfect distance from Acadia national park. Away from all the business of Bar Harbor but close enough to fun attractions. A little hike called pretty marsh was nice for sunsets. Thanks for the stay!

This was an amazing cabin with beautiful views. It was very peaceful and quiet. My husband and stayed here quite a few days and loved it and really didn't want to go back home. The cabin had everything you could need and was very comfortable to stay in. Alex was great host, very polite and friendly. He was there if we had any questions and was very helpful, but made certain to give us our privacy. I would love to stay here again.

Peaceful retreat in Seal Cove

We enjoyed our week at this well appointed cabin with a beautiful lake view from the comfortable deck. The kitchen and living space made preparing meals and relaxing a pleasure. Convenient to Acadia National Park and other parts of Mt. Desert Island, this is a good spot for a rejuvenating vacation in nature, but close enough to all amenities and services, including an easy ride to Bar Harbor.

Very relaxing, comfortable place to stay! Cabin has everything needed to enjoy this beautiful country. The best room in the cabin is the back porch overlooking a peaceful lake with the mountain beyond. Comfy rockers are provided and the host even had a vase of wild flowers prepared on the back porch for our enjoyment. Owner is accommodating and ready to help with any needs. Highly recommend!

This cabin is awesome!!! Be sure to book it if you’re traveling to Mount Desert Island. It is close to the park and other “must sees”but away from the crowds. The setting is more spectacular than the photos show. The cabin is clean and well equipped. Alex is an awesome host. Attentive and communicative. It was our first time to the island, and we had an awesome experience.

Cute and Peaceful Cabin on a Lake

We had a great stay over MDW in this comfortable and private cabin. The deck is awesome, and everything has been upgraded make this a charming, but modern and comfortable cabin. The bed and mattress are great, and we slept well after our hikes and adventures. Highly recommended.Great place to put up your feet after a hike!

Hidden Gem on Mount Desert Island

Our only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer. Everything about this place is amazing, and we hope we get the chance to book it again for our trip next summer. The guest house itself is spacious while also managing to feel incredibly cozy. The property is well kept, both inside and out. Everything was very clean, and the house had everything we needed. The shower and bed are top notch. The thing that really stood out to us was how private it is for being so close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. This is one of only four properties on Seal Cove Pond, and none of them are near this property. The main house is separated by a thick stand of trees. You can sit on the back porch overlooking the pond and mountains and be totally alone. Our host, Alex, was incredibly friendly and responsive. He respected our privacy, but was quick to respond to any questions we had. Having grown up in the area, he was happy to give us plenty of suggestions for hiking and dining when we asked. Overall, this was by far the best experience we’ve had with VRBO. We definitely took a chance booking a property without many reviews, but it certainly paid off, and we can’t wait to visit again next year!
