Farmhouse in the country

Make some memories at this secluded, unique and family-friendly place. Located outside of town in the north area of Grand Junction along the Bookcliffs. The property is located almost to the end of the pavement and where the fun begins!
Enjoy the huge yard and ample parking. Access to wash your bike or vehicle after a great day of riding in the north desert. Both Fruita and Grand Junction are about 10-15 minutes driving so it is quiet yet not far from the amenities of town.
You can ride your mountain bike or ATV right out of the driveway and be into the bookcliffs within minutes. 360 degree views of Mount Garfield, the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument and beautiful farmland landscape! You won't be disappointed.

The house was very clean and the whole process of checking in was very easy. We did not meet the host however she was easy to contact and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be staying here again as our son lives in Grand Junction and we will be visiting him occasionally. We loved that the house was in the country it was very peaceful to hang out outside and enjoy nature. Being from Iowa we felt right at home.

What an amazing home! It was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. I was able to have a lot of peace while I was out in the country. Much different than my normal life and such a treat to have a place for me to stay before and after I tackled a 64 mile trail race. If I am out in the area, this would be the first place I'd look to try to stay at.

This home was perfect for my family to stay in while we visited town. The host had the heat turned up for us before we got there our first afternoon, and this little farm house was extremely clean and welcoming. It was far enough outside of town for a quiet and peaceful time, but still close enough that we could come back periodically when we needed to. Before arriving, I had a few last minute questions and the host responded quickly with the help we needed. Instructions for check in/out as well as home and appliances were clear and easy to understand.The kitchen was fully stocked with everything anyone would need for a trip away from home.Both bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable with extra throw blankets for added comfort.The living room was a cozy and inviting place to unwind for the day next to the pellet heater after a fun day. We watched a movie on the TV to finish off each day, but in the early evening, we would check out the books or sit down and put together some puzzles that the host had readily available. Given the location, the yard had ample room for our kids to go out and play and with the weather that came in while we were there, it was fun for them to get out there and play in the snow. The views of the mesa from both the front and back patios were immaculate! Personally, I really enjoyed grilling burgers in the evening snow flurry with the mountains in the background.I highly recommend this home to anyone that is looking to visit the area!

Great place, wish I could Iive there!Only a couple small suggestions.More places to hang damp towels.Dish soap and dish brush for hand washing dishes.Check coffee pot for grounds left from previous renters.Lose the bath and kitchen floor mats unless washed after every guest.These were all very small issues and I only mention them because everything was nearly perfect. Had to come up with something, right?I recommend this rental and intend to stay again when opportunity arrives!

Hi Carl! Thank you for the suggestions and the kind words! The bathmats "should" have been washed after the last guest and if they weren't we do apologize! The coffee grounds may have gotten missed too. There is a dish soap dispenser built into the sink but maybe we should add that into our house booklet of notes!
