About this property

Charmingly restored apartment in Langhe-Roero. Stunning views!

Situated in the Langhe hills 2.5km from the town of Dogliani in the Piemonte region of Italy, Affittacamere - Stay Bel Piemonte offers two splendid double rooms, one ensuite, a private bathroom, lounge/kitchen area and terrace with those spectacular views. The terrace also overlooks our hazelnut grove and garden where we organically grow much of our own food.

Bookings for 2 people comprise the use of Camera Verde, lounge/kitchen, terrace and bathroom (No other guests can access this space)
Bookings for 3-4 people will also include use of Camera Rossa and the ensuite.

Camera Verde can be converted to a twin upon request.

The accomodation has its own entrance and all areas are private. Guests are welcome to wander or sit in the garden and hazelnut grove and we will be happy to show you around our vegetable garden.

Very nice apartment in Piedmont the apartment is located between vineyards in rural Piedmont with a fantastic view of the alps. On a clear day you can even see Mont Blanc. The hosts are extremely likable and welcome their guests very warmly. Also our dog was very welcome: Great recommendation to anyone who loves the rural parts of Italy.

Steve and Frances are the quintessential hosts. They are very responsive, and they are willing to offer recommendations . We enjoyed the beautifully designed flat. The well outfitted kitchen and living space suited thefour of us well. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom has its own bath. Our stay was too short and we are planning for longer visits in the next two years. Conveniently located near town, local wineries, and local farmers. The farm to table culture and friendly community made this visit all the more special. If you want to stay in Piemonte this is THE place to stay with superior hospitality, beautiful flat, and did I mention, the view from the balcony. Thanks Steve and Frances!

This place is a low kept cozy spot to setup a base to explore the Borolo region. Steve and Frances speak good English and were very helpful in suggesting local activities and events to take part in and to answer questions. The apartment was comfortable with nice beds and well equipped for cooking your own meals. etc. It has a great view and a nice outdoor eating area for when the weather is nice. While it snowed while I was there, it was not a problem to drive as all the roads were snowplowed. Great experience!

Perfect Place in Piedmont

What a gem of a place to stay. We were three women friends who love to cook and drink wine. Steve and Frances are delightful hosts - they told us about places to visit that only locals would know about. The view from the deck is truly stunning. We drank coffee there in the morning and at our supper and drank wine there in the evening. Would recommend to anyone wanting a perfect place to stay while visiting the many small villages of Piedmont -

Lovely place, lovely people

This is the most wonderful place to stay!! Frances and Steve are the most welcoming and lovely hosts you could ever hope to meet. Where else would you stay where they provide complimentary items in the bathrooms and kitchen? They even gave us a change of towels midweek! They said that they consider their clients and how tired they may be after travelling. So we had all the little things to make it homely immediately. We found the whole place completely spotless. We also had no problem with their Wifi. We adored sitting out on the patio and watching the glorious scenery. We cannot recommend this beautiful place more highly, but it is the friendliness and caring attitude of Frances and Steve that makes it one hundred percent! Thank you.

Velutstyrt og praktisk leilighet som er super som utgangspunkt for opplevelsesferie i Piemonte. Den ligger 2,5 km utenfor byen Dogliani, så man er avhengig av bil for å oppleve ting. Vi kjørte til de forskjellige stedene vi besøkte, og hadde ofte flotte ettermiddager og kvelder på terrassen og i leiligheten. Steve og Frances var et flott vertskap som var lette å kommunisere med. Vi anbefaler absolutt dette overnattingsstedet.

We are Steve and Frances and are originally from Glasgow in Scotland. In 2013 we decided to take the plunge and follow our long held dream of moving to Italy and trying to live a more sustainable life. We bought a property in a small hamlet with an acre of land that needed a little TLC. Working hard but enjoying every minute of it we have almost finished restoring the house. We now have 2 small hazelnut groves that we take care of, a substantial vegetable garden and even some small fruit trees. Last year we adopted our sweet dog Lilla from the shelter. This year we have added some chickens. We travelled a lot in Italy when looking for our house and fell in love with Piemonte. Its scenery, pretty towns, friendly people and of course the weather were all big attractions but most of all it is the respect for food, wine, the traditions of producing them well and the many festivals that celebrate them tha0t we love most about living here. Come STAY!

Why they chose this property

Stay Bel Piemonte is situated in a traditional Italian borgata (hamlet). We are in the midst of a small friendly farming community engaged in cultivating the area’s most famous products wine and hazelnuts. Peaceful and tranquil we are only 2.5km from the pretty town of Dogliani with its markets, bars and restaurants and perfectly situated for visiting the Barolo wine region, the mountains and the Ligurian coast.

We want to share our love of this beautiful area with others and if you’re interested you can also learn a little about our lives here on our small farm.
Eating is an obsession in Italy and no more so than here in Piemonte. The restaurants are extremely high standard, full of local specialities and wine to die for, we can recommend some of our favourite places and you’re sure discover a few of your own.
