This property has all the amenities you need to be relaxed and comfortable. Wonderful, private location, convenient to W. Yellowstone and the community of Island Park. Great local restaurants, Yellowstone Playhouse is a fun family night out and the property is great for staying home and grilling dinner on the large porch with plenty of seating. Owner is very responsive and great to work with.
Prefect for our family of 8! Close to Yellowstone which is what we needed! House had everything we needed and communication with the host was easy. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you for staying at Old Yeller and for taking the time to share your experience. We’re so glad your family created special memories during your visit. It means a lot to us, and we’d love to host you again.
This is the most cozy, inviting cabin!! The interior is beautiful, it has personal touches that make it feel like home! It is so clean, the beds and linens are comfortable, it is well stocked with necessities and extras if you forgot something. It makes you want to snuggle up and just relax! Games, books,Puzzle, DVDs (tip: the tv upstairs has a built in dvd player), they thought of everything! It is close to so many places. Eating, grocery, gas, rentals and more! We ate at Cafe Sabor and Ponds Lodge. Both were so good! The short drive into West Yellowstone is worth it! Visit the shops, get some treats and when we say go to The Buffalo Bar, we mean it! The food is outstanding! We will be back to visit Old Yeller, sooner rather than later! Thank you for the incredible stay!

We’re so glad you chose Old Yeller! Thank you for your kind words—your happiness and appreciation truly mean the world to us. We’re committed to making every stay feel special, and it’s rewarding knowing your experience was.
This cabin was so cozy and the hosts thought of everything! There were all the extras in the kitchen and bathrooms that most hosts don't think of (mini toothpaste!? Spices and olive oil!!!). I am picky about updates and cleanliness and have nothing to criticize. Even saw a yoga mat in one closet. Everything inside felt updated and didn't feel used! I wouldn't say amazing mountain views but when it was snowing/sleeting outside, the woodsy feel from the living room was wonderful. I traveled with my 15, 18 and 24 year olds and there was plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out and one slept on the couch willingly (unnecessarily) because it was so cushy and comfy. Our host was very responsive when one of us left the kitchen sink slightly dripping which made the reverse osmosis system in the kitchen beep. (Sorry!!) The little market up the road has all you'll need for groceries unless you need specialty gluten free food, which we did and picked up near the airport in Belgrade/Bozeman. Highly recommend!!!

About the host
Hosted by Melissa Campbell
Our family has always loved Island Park — the trails, the trees, the quiet, and the chance to slow down together. Some of our favorite memories come from visiting Grandma’s cabin, where there was no service, just a stack of old movies, a cozy couch, and all the time in the world to be together.
We wanted to bring that same feeling into this cabin — the simple, unplugged joy of being close to nature — while still giving guests the comforts that make a stay easy and relaxing. So yes, we kept the nostalgic movie collection, but we also added WiFi and, thankfully, more than one bathroom.
This cabin is our way of sharing the place we love most, the trails we ride, and the peaceful escape that has meant so much to our family. We hope it becomes a place where you make your own favorite memories, too.
Why they chose this property
A location that truly has it all — convenience, adventure, and the magic of Idaho’s outdoors. Just steps from Mac’s Inn and only minutes from the grocery store, this cabin keeps everything you need close by so you can spend more time relaxing and exploring.
• Only 20 minutes from West Yellowstone — perfect for day trips into the park, grabbing a bite in town, or exploring local attractions. • Trail access right from the property — walk, ride, or adventure straight from your doorstep. • Idaho Forest as your backyard — peaceful, private, and full of wildlife and natural beauty. • Close to everything, yet tucked into nature — the ideal blend of convenience and that true cabin‑in‑the‑woods feeling.
It’s the kind of spot that makes getaways effortless and unforgettable — exactly why we chose it.
What makes this property unique
Unplug, unwind, and reconnect with what really matters. This cozy cabin is designed for guests who want to slow down, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the beauty of nature all around them.
• Two 32” TVs + a nostalgic DVD collection — perfect for old‑school movie nights by the fire. No Smart TV distractions—just pure cozy vibes. • WiFi available when you need it — or switch it off and enjoy a truly screen‑free getaway where you can be present, relax, and recharge.
