This place is a GEM! Wood burning fireplace and secluded location was perfect for our trip. Clean, quiet and well equipped. Location! Close enough to the wineries and breweries on 151, but away from all the other rental places so it felt like home. Communication was excellent. Check in was easy. Greeted by the pig and two goats was awesome. They were so friendly and fun. Bonus was farm fresh eggs waiting in the refrigerator! I’ve stayed in at least 6 cabins along the blue ridge trail the last couple years and this was probably the best! I look forward to booking again.

Secluded Cabin
Beautiful cabin with wood burning stove. Host provided wonderful supply of wood. A generous bowl of eggs provided in refrigerator. My favorite seat was the padded wooden rocking chair.

Great cabin and great fishin!
Quiet and secluded! pond was full of blues pretty small but fun to catch! The stream is very close and beautiful bring your fly rod! The cabin was fully stocked of essentials and even extras like the fresh eggs from the owner! Thanks Doug! We'll definitely stay here next time we're in the area!
The house was just what we were looking for. An escape from the hustle and bustle of life. We enjoyed relaxing and taking in the views. Thanks for an amazing time!!
10/10 would recommend this cabin to anyone. Beautiful inside and out. Perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Very nice and clean. We will definitely be back.
The owner is absolutely fantastic! Property is an oasis in the woods! Stunning creek, fantastic fire pit island in a pond and then the cabin! The cabin is beautiful, accommodating and makes you feel like you are miles and miles into the woods! This is our Dad friend get away and it’s perfect!
If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to spend some time, this is the place to do it. It is very private and is located down a long gravel road. Beautiful stream a few steps away from the cabin. Cabin was clean and had everything you’ll need for a long stay(plenty of pots and pans, plates, keurig). Very comfortable beds.To top it off the host was very quick to respond to questions and was super nice.
I rented the cabin to take my 17 year old son and 3 friends on a ski trip. The location is great and the loft is outstanding for a group like this. Douglas was also very responsive with questions. Can’t wait to bring the whole fam!!
The property is beautiful, set far enough off the road that you do not need to worry about traffic noise. Cabin was as described, beautiful loft with a fireplace, a pond with bluegills and an outdoor fire pit. We loved out Sta. Lake nearby, hiking trails allOver and caverns within close proximity. Lots of down wood for the outdoor pit and a beautiful stream just a short distance away. Feeding the pigs and goats was such a joy.
This log cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple or family looking for a retreat Homie Vacay! The accommodations are superb. The home is clean and fully stocked with necessities in the bathrooms and kitchen. The decor is lovely. The beds are comfortable. It’s away from the hustle and bustle. Very hospitable with farm raised eggs in the refrigerator. They were delicious! The domesticated pigs and goats around the home were friendly. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I chose this cabin to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The hand built cabin did not disappoint. Beautiful location right on a pond loaded with sunfish with a flowing stream at the rear of the property. Location is near anything you would want to do in the area. Great communication with the owner Doug made us feel right at home. Hope to return one day.
It was an amazing experience overall. A beautiful place to disconnect from the technology

The beds were very comfortable as well as the linens, towels, etc. However, there were no blankets except for 2 throws (all I could find). It really was a better choice for the family, but for anyone who may have difficulty with stairs, all the steps are higher than average and there is no handrail going up to the loft for smaller hands. Also the steps have started to pull away from the risers.
Unfortunately 3 of the 4 days we were there it rained, and with no cable and only sketchy Wi-Fi it was less than ideal. The quiet and the singing frogs made it very pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised to find that dish soap, paper towels, napkins, and salt and pepper were provided.
