Nice flat in a great neighborhood, short walk to Victoria. Clean, nice kitchen, tight little shower. Pull out brutally uncomfortable, no view. Felt safe, enjoyed our stay.
This was a great location. However, the owner is trying to sell and we had to leave at inappropriate times so the flat could be shown. Once they just walked in on us. This was very irritating since they came when we were tired and wanted a rest. They should not have listed it as available.
It's a 15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace and a bit farther to Westminster Abbey. Pubs and buses and the tube are nearby. The washer and dryer were a bonus. It is small but the location makes up for the lack of space and view.
This property was just ok for us. Maybe it’s just our expectations compared to others, but I feel it contradicts everything you see in the online and TV commercials for VRBO.
PROs: We had a place to sleep, shower, TV, kitchen, washer and dryer was a big plus. Communication before check in was very responsive and directions to get there from all different modes of transportation was a big help in determining how we wanted to arrive.
CONs:
- Everywhere you step the floor makes a creaking noise.
- The lady who checked us in informed us there is a no shoe policy inside the unit. I don’t recall seeing that in the description. Not good for people who don’t like walking around without footwear.
- The kitchen is very small and can only accommodate one person at a time.
- The shower is very small about the size of a shower in a camper trailer. One wrong move and if you slightly bump the faucet lever that sticks straight out, you’re going to get a freezing cold shower. Not sure why you would install a single lever faucet over traditional individual knobs, to free up more room to allow someone to move around.
- Bed is ok, very firm and took some getting used to.
- You cannot do laundry after 6pm because we were told that you may disturb the permanent resident next door.
- No AC however I guess this is common in the area and not required. We simply opened the windows on our first day.
- Heaters do not heat up the rooms warm enough. Wife had to constantly dress in layers.
Communication with Rodney in advance of stay was good. He arranged for early check in at a reasonable fee. We were met by a team member at the site. She was very pleasant.
If you are coming from North America the flat might seem a bit small, but for two people in consideration of London hotel prices and having facilities to make a meal or two it did the job nicely.
The Victoria train and underground station is about 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Made all of London very accessible. If you like to walk you can walk to Buckinham Palace in approx 30 minutes and you can be in the heart of the tourist centre of Piccadilly in about a 60 minute walk or take the tube there. For us we liked to have option to walk out and take the tube back if we were a bit tired.
It is a nice residential area with some smaller hotels. Also in the area of Warwick Way and Wilton there are a number of restos and coffee shops. In our 6 days we had dinner at many of them. A few local pubs were quite friendly. To give a sense we had nice meals of Turkish, Indian, Thai, and pub fare.
The bed was a but firm for our liking and a bit of rearranging the cushions made the sofa a bit more comfortable. It was terrific to have laundry facilities in the unit. The washer and dryer are tiny but they worked just fine.
The actual flat was very close to the description. The small bathroom was a bit challenging but functional - not used to louvered doors on a bathroom. The flat used its space quite well. Everything worked properly.
Since we stayed for 6 nights, we should have asked for a change of towels.
You MUST refer everyone to the terrific cafe literally across the street at Artists Residence. The food and ambiance were wonderful - breakfast daily and 1 dinner. On our last day, They also called a taxi for us using their magic yellow button!
We liked the location very much and overall it smoothed the negative impression from minor inconveniences.
Pros:
- everything looked clean
- washer and dryer inside the flat
- appliances were clean and working
- some snacks offered upon arrival
Negs:
- the door bell is hard to hear, had to call to be let in
- hidden late check-in fees: were only notified after booking, check-in time is not something guests can sometimes control because of the flight or train schedule, doesn't seem fair. Never seen such charge at other VRBO listings.
- no laundry detergent, for me it didn't make sense to have to buy a whole pack for the 4 day stay or bring some from overseas, it is usually available. We left some for the next guest.
- shower didn't drain well
- outside window sills were dirty which meant all that dirt blowing inside the flat :(
The location was amazing though, close to the tube, the attractions, and the decent pubs and restaurants.
A great location in a wonderful neighborhood, ten minutes from Victoria Station. We were very pleased.
Our only issue was the hide-a-bed sofa. It does need to be replaced.
Beside good location, this property has everything to cover your basic needs… there is nothing amazing about it, but a Solid good!! we would definitely stay there again. Good value for the money. 👍👍
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your flat. It is an adorable space in a lovely, safe neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The communication with the owner, as well as the person that greeted us at check in was lovely. If we should return, I would be delighted to stay here again.
Clean property, quiet neighborhood, and close to many popular locations. The flat had everything I needed to make me feel at home while on vacation. Very close to public transportation and walking distance to many places. Check-in/check-out process was very easy and the house tablet helped with recommendations and helpful tips. I did not have any issues with the flat . I would gladly stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Efficient flat in good location
The photos of the flat were accurate except that they made it look significantly larger than it is. That said, as a solo traveller I had plenty of room and it would suit a couple very well too. The bed was very comfortable and all the appliances worked fine, the hot water supply was adequate, and it got good daylight and wasn't overlooked despite being rather close to nearby buildings. Instructions and info. on a tablet were comprehensive and helpful.
The issue of it being stuffy does have some basis in truth, but there was a fan heater available which used on the 'fan only' setting moved the air around well enough to dispel the feeling of stuffiness. With the fan heater and the wall heaters, I'd guess that heating in winter would be no problem, but I would suggest provision of a standing fan would be more efficient to increase the general air movement in warmer weather.
And of course, one can't beat the location! Only a short stroll to all the shops, pubs etc. on Warwick Way, or the many transport options around Victoria Station.

Good location, but quite small and a bit stuffy in summer
Great location, right near Victoria station so it is really easy to get around. Very small, especially kitchen and bathroom but ok for a couple of nights. Sofa bed is not adequate for a third person, very uncomfortable, incredibly noisy every time you move. Appears it may be broken. Could certainly do with a fan in summer time, very stuffy and hot particularly in bedroom. Hosts were very responsive which was great.
I had a lovely time staying at this apartment for almost 5 weeks.
The area was nice and close to everything.
Highly recommended!

Other than location, I can’t recommend.
The location is great. There is a fantastic breakfast spot just across the street with excellent food & service that also has live music on Thursday nights. That being said, we had an issue on our 3rd night that was not resolved to our satisfaction. Like most property in the UK, it’s very small. However, there are several other reasons for not rating this property well.
We had been out all day sightseeing and we returned to get ready for dinner. In the middle of the kitchen/dining area we were shocked to see a dead mouse just laying in the floor. It had been raining a lot that day so perhaps this is normal for London. We quickly got ready and left for dinner and a show we had planned so we wouldn’t be late. I immediately text the owner and made 2 requests. 1) remove the mouse asap 2) please allow us to check out one day early without penalty or find us other accommodations. He responded to me approximately 3 hours later and thankfully had the mouse removed quickly. However, he informed us that he did not have other accommodations, but should we choose to leave 1 day early, Homeaway did not have a policy for this type of situation and he would only refund 50% of the last night’s rate (NOT including the fees) which was actually only around 37%. Even more shocking, the owners response was that he was surprised that a “well nourished mouse would just die in the middle of the room.” I’m not sure if he was insinuating something??
In addition, the linens provided were lacking. The reservation was for 2 adults for 4 nights. We were given 2 towels and 1 hand towel. No washcloths or backup linens. There is on-site laundry, but only 1 detergent pod.
Overall, there are several other properties I would recommend for this price.
This was the perfect home base for our 10 days in London. The place was the perfect space for two - clean, good amenities (including the kitchen for a few meals in with food from the local market) - and check-in / check-out was very easy. Would stay again.
We recently stayed in this lovely little flat in Pimlico. It was clean and Liz greeted us on time and explained all the features available. The bathroom is quite small so its tight for two people using at the same time but we always had hot water. If you are hoping for a view, this is not it as the flat faces brick buildings, however; it is an excellent location for walking to Buckingham Palace, Parliament buildings, Churchill War Rooms, etc., and only 5 minutes to Victoria train station The neighbourhood and building felt safe with a Sainsbury's only 3 minutes away. We ate at the Marquis Pub, St George's Tavern and Market Hall Victoria (all within a 5 minute walk of the flat), each place had amazing food. I would recommend this flat for couples as it is cozy. My only suggestion would be a new bed frame as the current one is not in good shape. We would stay here again given the opportunity.

Flat 11 great stay
The property was clean and well equipped. The hosts were helpful and mostly responsive. The one comment I have is, the instructions for the different appliances could have more detail. Ie: the washing machine was not obvious at first.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, great location.

Enjoyable, clean and easy to find.
The flat was nicely furnished and very clean. Everything worked well. The location was close to two underground stations so getting around was never a problem. The streets were safe and well lit at night.
I would stay here again.
