Easy to access and clean. Area does look a little run down but would absolutely stay again. Looks just like pictures and felt very comfortable. Communication with host was very easy and quick.
This is a great location for a couples get-away. The rental was clean, roomy and had everything we needed. It has that cool, industrial vibe with exposed beams. To get that industrial vibe inside, you get it outside too - which isn’t as cool. The building itself is old and dingy. From the outside the building looks very questionable as the surrounding area is very much “in the works” as the neighborhood is in the early stages of becoming residential. The parking in the back is gated and fenced for great security. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was very relaxing and peaceful everything was detailed far as checking in and our
GREAT COMMUNICATION. SUPER CLEAN AND NICE. AS ADVERTISED. EASY AND AMPLE PARKING. WE HAD AN EXCELLENT STAY AND WILL STAY AGAIN WHEN WE COME BACK IN JANUARY.
Directions for check in were slightly unclear. The surrounding area looked rough but was calm and no issues! Absolutely stunning room inside and was worth the stay! Wifi information was incorrect and out though.
Everything was great. Very well thought out space. Very convenient to get downtown. I will reccomend bringing a white noise machine as the unit is ground level on a decently busy street. No reduction in rating on that though. City living is sitting living. Would stay here again and again.

I never write negative reviews, but there is very little that is positive to say about this experience. The neighborhood is sketch. The building is loud and reeks of weed..not just sometimes but all the time. The bathroom walls were dirty. There were no cleaning supplies for the things that weren’t clean. There were no pots and pans to cook meals in the kitchen. Basic amenities like coffee and a full set of dishes were unavailable. We bailed on the reservation after the first night because our financial loss was less important than our health and safety. When I informed the owner that we had checked out early, I did not receive a response. I was simply asked for a review. On a positive note, the previous renters left alcohol in the fridge, so there’s that. Simply put, keep looking. This is not your rental.
The space was exactly as it was shown online, it was perfect for my quick trip to Detroit. The host gave great instructions for the check in process which made things move smoothly.
It's in a tough part of town. The Salvation Army Recovery center was right across the street. I received no information on how to check in. We wondered around aimlessly looking for the door to the building and how to get in. Finally the manager of the building helped me out otherwise we would have waited an hour for a call back. It wasn't the host that called us back, it was their service. The key was in a lock box on a chain linked fence with several other lock boxes attached. So I had to try almost all of the lockboxes before I found the right one. The lock box also had the remote to the parking in back. This is not a family friendly building at all. All you smell is pot when you walk through the hallways. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Great location if you’re looking to explore downtown Detroit also if you wanted to visit Canada, the Port of entry is literally like 10 minutes around the corner. Parking was great. It is right off the road so expect some Car noises nothing bad at all. Had some noisy neighbors upstairs definitely out of the Hosts control. The unit was as imagined great job by the Host with communication, beautiful unit. Will definitely return to this unit next time I visit Detroit. Parking was literally right outside our door could not get any better.

About the host
Hosted by Vincent Davis
I’m from the city of Detroit born and raised. The older I became I moved to the suburban areas outside of Detroit to explore Michigan. I recently moved back and seen improvements of downtown Detroit. I decided to host a property because I love for people out of town to see how beautiful Detroit really is.
Why they chose this property
The community is named “Corktown” which is literally minutes from downtown Detroit. I enjoy the small business which take pride in serving the community.
