Things to Do Near Halfmoon, NY

Saratoga Race Course — Just a short drive from Halfmoon, this historic thoroughbred track is legendary. Catch the summer meet, feel the thunder of hooves, and soak in the classic racing atmosphere.

National Museum of Racing & Hall of Fame — Located in Saratoga Springs, this museum celebrates the history of horse racing, with memorabilia, art, and stories of legendary horses and jockeys.


Saratoga Casino & Harness Racing — For a different style of racing, check out live harness racing at Saratoga Casino Hotel. The casino also has simulcast wagering, so you can follow races from around the country.

Backstretch Tours at the Racecourse — On race days, you can take a guided tram walking tour of the stable (backstretch) area to get an up-close look at where the horses live and train.

Old Friends at Cabin Creek — A retirement farm for thoroughbred racehorses. You can tour the farm and meet some of these amazing animals (tours offered seasonally).

Our outdoor heated pool is seasonal and typically opens in mid-April and closes in late October, depending on weather, temperatures, maintenance, and operating conditions. Opening and closing dates are not guaranteed and may change without notice.

Pool availability and water temperature cannot be guaranteed, particularly at the beginning and end of the season. Temporary closures may also occur due to weather, maintenance, repairs, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Guests booking in April, October, or outside the typical pool season should confirm availability before booking. Pool unavailability does not automatically qualify reservations for refunds or cancellations outside the applicable booking policy.

Our cedar hot tub and sauna are available year-round.
