About the host
Hosted by Samantha Lambert

I am from Indiana in the United States. I first experienced Costa Rica as a college student when I studied abroad. The experience was LIFE CHANGING! The beauty, culture, and general "Pura Vida" lifestyle made me feel right at home even while navigating language differences. As an adult, I had the opportunity to purchase a property and jumped at it. This is a place my family LOVES to use ourselves. It is our home away from home and close to our hearts. We rent it out only to help cover maintenance fees, not as a big business. I hope you love it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is remote. The monkeys hang in our trees and steal our mangoes. The birds perch on the branches and watch us drink our coffee and Imperial. The iguanas sunbathe by the pool. It's quiet and private and a true retreat from the chaos of the tourist areas.
What makes this property unique
Having a retreat style home in such a remote area is rare in Costa Rica. There are very few other rentals with the amenities and high quality experience we can offer that are not right in the hot spots and surrounded by tourists. Just a little drive down the road and you can get local meals for dirt cheap. The "neighbor" is in his 90s and lives a true "Blue Zones" lifestyle. You can hear singing from the church up the road on Sunday mornings. It's incredible and authentic.
