Incredible location, relaxing, panoramic view of the jungle and pacific ocean. Fantastic pool, clean, close to Samara. Great place to escape too! Highly recommend!
This was a perfect house for our family of four (2 @ 50 somethings and 2@ late teen 20 somethings ) to spend a week at Christmas. The house is an adventure to reach and feels VERY remote, but it is actually a fairly quick drive (15 mins) to Samara - you will want a 4WD vehicle for the river ford. The house is surrounded by wild space and wild critters and you feel immersed in nature. There were howler monkeys in the trees, a huge frog that would visit the pool every night, a coati occasionally on the lawn, and numerous birds and bugs. You can hear cows in the pasture below, but no traffic. The house sits high on a hill and gets a nice breeze at night. The temperature was perfect. This is not a typical luxury accommodation - the inside space is very basic ( two bedrooms, two baths, and a kitchen/ dining area that is pretty dimly lit, has no comfy seating and has minimal but adequate equipment) but this does not matter as the large covered exterior veranda is amazing. We spent ALL of our awake time outside and loved it. The beds are VERY comfortable. Wifi was fast. The pool is spectacular - but we were a little sorry that the pool lights were broken. We highly recommend the two table El Coyote restaurant just a mile or so from the house. We spent considerable time in Nosara (better surfing than Samara) and were thankful this house is relatively close (25 mins). Overall a funky wonderful place with great vibe and responsive management - highly recommended.
After following one of the property managers on her ATV, fording a river and driving up what looked like a maze of little roads, we arrived at this breathtaking spot! And breathtaking it is! The house is at the end of a small road, with an incredible vista that reaches to the Pacific ocean. We were visited by iguanas, many birds, some of which enjoyed the pool, and a family of cheeky howler monkeys. There were a couple of small issues with house amenities which the managers resolved within a very short time. The managers were very, very responsive to our questions and concerns, going the extra mile and delivering a few kitchen amenities like a kettle and new pots late on a Friday afternoon... 5* + for these considerate people! All we could say is ahhhhh, the pool was amazing, the linens all top quality, and the view, priceless. We also love Samara, its many restaurants and beautiful beaches. Thank you David, and everyone at "Manage my property" for one of our all time favourite stays in Costa rica!
Our stay at Casa Pura Vista was incredible. David the owner was great. Answering our questions re the rental & provided smart travel suggestions. The Property managers were always accessible and willing to assist. Irina met us on “our schedule”, checking us in early, & showed us the tricks to finding the property. In terms of Property managers, they are a cut above. For us the property came with all the essentials, (soaps, spices, coffee, etc) all we had to supply was our foodAs you can see from the listing this property is Incredible. The infinity pool, the views of the canopy forest, fields & the pacific off in the distance. Sunrises & sunsets. As good as the photos are, to be there in person is amazing. The resident iguana, “Gus” would sun himself on the roof & then come down during the day. The family of howler monkeys were in the local trees every morning and evening letting us know they were there. They showed up in the trees on the property on the 4th day & hung out in the afternoon.Reaching the town of Samara takes about 35 minutes, or 20 via a shortcut through a shallow river “Rio Buena Vista” thanks Irina for showing us that trick. With the river crossing & rough roads close to the property rent a 4x4 vehicle. The local beaches are stunning, & the town of Samara offers excellent coffee shops, restaurants & grocery stores. We would certainly rent this property again.
The house is very well thought out. We loved the rooms' views and design. It is not large but the key is location, light, and outdoor space. It is perfect for a family with one or two children or two couples. The best part is the pool location and outdoor space in general. Perched high on the hill the view is amazing and there is plenty of airflow. The outdoor space is well designed, private, and so perfect for relaxing.
If you need wifi or wish to be real close to town then it is best avoided. But If you are willing to drive 10 minutes to Samara (through the river so need 4 wheel drive) or bring your own wifi hot spot then the place is nirvana.
We will return.

Because it's a unique experience to live alone in the middle of the nature, surrounded by magnificent trees where you see monkeys and various birds with a spectacular view on the land and the sea. The swimming-pool is just incredible: 16 meters long with a 16 meters overflow completely integrated in the nature: you feel like in a river and enjoy the views.
