We enjoyed our stay at the “Serenity Shack”. The location is fantastic with private access to the lake literal steps from the door. The cottage is older but cute.

Such a cute little lake side home. The host was in constant communication. Felt right at home. Loved that we could use the kayaks and the grill. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Canandaigua Lake cottage. The location truly offers the 'best of both worlds' — a peaceful, private waterfront setting where you can relax and enjoy the lake, while still being just minutes from downtown Canandaigua, restaurants, Wegmans, and other major stores.The cottage itself was 'very clean, thoughtfully designed, and tastefully done'. You can tell the host has paid attention to every little detail, from the comfortable living spaces to the outdoor setup and lake amenities. Everything felt well cared for and welcoming.The host was also 'extremely accommodating, responsive, and prompt' throughout our stay, which made the entire experience even better.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

It was a cozy and fun place to stay. We were very happy to have the air conditioning and fans in the rooms. And it was a great location right next to the water. Our host was also nice to keep in touch with if we had any questions. My only suggestion would be to bring your own wash , hand and bath towels with you. Thank you.

Our family of six had a wonderful time at this lake house! It was cozy, but the space was so thoughtfully laid out that there was plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy our stay. Allison was an outstanding host. She gave us lots of great info about the area and was incredibly responsive whenever we had questions - which we appreciated. The kids had an amazing time fishing off the dock, kayaking, swimming in the lake, paddle boarding, and making s’mores over the fire pit. If we're ever back in the area, we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable lakeside getaway!

The location is fantastic! We loved being right on the water and close, but not too close, to Canandaigua. The cottage was clean and tastefully decorated and when we had one minor inconvenience with an appliance the owners were quick to respond. The a/c kept the inside comfortable. Having the kayaks, the outside furniture and the fire pit made the stay!Not quite 5 stars, but we loved our getaway here!

The cabin was very clean upon arrival, nicely decorated. Lots of air conditioners to keep the place cool. Also a good amount of supplies were provided (sheets, kitchen utensils, kayaks, tubes, outside seating, etc.). The outside seating was nice and views of the lake were pretty. However, many of the floors inside were uneven and slanting. The cabin is obviously old and quaint, but lacks the appropriate electrical outlets so there were a lot of extension cords being used throughout. We were advised in check-in correspondence that most windows do not open…some are rotten or painted closed. We felt for the money we paid, the conditions were unsatisfactory, unsafe and the pictures provided online were deceiving.

It is unfortunate that you were not comfortable with our cottage. I can assure you that everything is up to code, including the electrical cords and the windows. We have had multiple guests at our cottage the past couple of years, and have received great reviews that note listing accuracy.
