The Space:
This two-level carriage house offers a mix of historical touches and updated convenience. The open-concept living room and full kitchen are located on the ground floor—ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the city or preparing a meal with local ingredients.
Upstairs are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s important to note that the only bathroom is inside the primary bedroom, meaning guests will need to be comfortable sharing space. If you're traveling with family or close friends, it's a quirky layout that adds to the fun. If you're strangers… well, you won’t be for long!
The primary bedroom features access to a private balcony overlooking a serene shared courtyard—a peaceful spot for morning coffee or winding down with a glass of wine.
Bedroom 1: Queen bed (with bathroom access)
Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Bathroom: Shower (ensuite to primary bedroom)
Full kitchen with cookware, utensils, coffee maker
Living room with Smart TV + high-speed Wi-Fi
Heating and air conditioning work great through the mini split units.
Guest Access:
Guests will have full private access to the entire carriage house. The home is located at the back of the main property and is accessed via the rear lane/alley—common in Savannah’s historic layout. The entrance is private and self-check-in is available via smart lock.
The shared courtyard is also accessible and makes for a lovely common area to enjoy the Savannah breeze.
The Neighborhood:
Situated just off Jones Street, widely considered one of the most beautiful streets in America, this location is a dream for anyone hoping to immerse themselves in Savannah’s historic charm. You're surrounded by cobblestone streets, moss-draped oaks, and centuries-old architecture.
Walkable highlights include:
Forsyth Park
Mercer-Williams House
The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist
Clary’s Café (from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil)
Collins Quarter, Peregrin Rooftop Bar, and Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room
River Street, City Market, and a variety of museums and historic homes
This is one of the most central and scenic areas in Savannah, and staying here means you're never far from the city’s best food, drink, and cultural attractions.
Getting Around:
Downtown Savannah is extremely walkable, and you can reach most attractions on foot within 5–10 minutes. If you’re looking to explore further, you can take a pedicab, rent bikes, or hop on the free DOT trolley that circulates through the historic district.
Street parking is available nearby, and we'll provide tips on where to park for the best convenience (please expect to pay for parking)
Other Things to Note:
The only bathroom is located inside the primary bedroom, which may not be ideal for all groups. Please make sure this layout works for your stay.
This is a historic building, so some quirks come with the charm—creaky floors, antique details, and all the character you'd expect from a home built in the mid-1800s.
The unit is located behind the main house, accessed via the back alley (very common in Savannah). Directions will be provided to make check-in smooth.
The property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility, as the bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor.
