About the host
Your host

Watauga Lake has been one of my favorite places for many years and I have stayed in many vacation homes in the area. I have also always loved old houses, so this cottage that was moved from "Old Butler" before the TVA flooded the valley for the lake, just seemed to be meant for us.
Why they chose this property
The home is located on Piercetown Road, which is the "main" road through the little community of Butler--so paved state maintained access to the house, no narrow steep driveways, just a few steps to enter and then all one level.
What makes this property unique
Charming older home with 9 foot ceilings, some original wood floors and updates done a few years ago. Beautiful lot, adequate parking, level access. Close to Cove Ridge Marina (they offer boat rentals) and to the easy public lake access if you bring your boat. Pet (dogs only) friendly with a large fenced in yard accessed off the covered side porch. Walkable neighborhood.
