Penthouse 2 Bedrooms Skyline View a/c

This is an exceptionnal setting considering that most buildings are at the same height in paris ( usually 6 to 7 floors) . you are at the 9th floor ( 10th american ) and above the city line. so plenty of day light . the building is on a dead end street . so no street noise .
Your nearest metro is richard lenoir on line 5 ( less than 5 minutes ) but saint sebastien froissard on line 8 and saint ambroise on line 9 are just a couple more minutes walking so very easy to get around. The bastille square with its metro hub and its busy night life is a 5 minutes walk. Le marais is also a 5 minutes walk .

The building has 2 elevators and is very secure.

The apartment consists of a main room with a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a large shower and a separate toilet with basin and 2 separate bedrooms with their own individual access. one bedroom has a king size bed (180 cm by 200 cm or 72 inches by 80 inches) and the other bedroom has a pair of twin beds (each 90 cm by 200 cm or 36 inches by 80 inches).
There is an a/c system throughout the apartment.

The apartment is furnished with beautiful 1950 period art deco furniture and is totally surrounded by a large balcony.


The area is very safe. There is a large range of food and specialty shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also a supermarket in the immediate neighborhood.

Please be aware of the contractual 40 euro for any check in before 200pm and after 900pm. If the apartment is not rented the night before the 40 euro applies in all cases. If the apartment is rented the night before we do not charge the early check in, we can check you in starting 1000am, keep your luggage but ask you to leave the apartment until the cleaning is finished i.e., around 200pm.

Great flat with amazing location!

Our stay here was beyond great! The place was very cozy and welcoming. The flat is in a great and beautiful location, close to many wonderful shops and restaurants, and walking distance to top sites, restaurants, and the tube. The host was very helpful and made us feel welcome. I was pleased with my choice to stay here and will likely return!

This apartment was amazing! The views alone are stunning but the location is equally great with quick access to food and transportation, but also close enough to walk to major Paris landmarks while taking in the amazing Parisian streets, shops, people and restaurants. Having laundry in the apartment was a great help to keep our luggage more manageable.

Great place to stay

Olivier was great to communicate with. He met us at the property to show us around and answer any questions we had. It was clean and well stocked with accurate photos. The air-conditioning kepy up with the 102 degree heat! The neighborhood was very quiet and residential, with numerous restaurants nearby.

Good Restaurant Options

Property was as described and worked well for two couples. We were met by the manager and shown around. We loved the city lights at night and views during the day. Each room has it's own heating/cooling as well as ventilated privacy shades. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels too. Quiet building one block from 2 metro stations. The apartment was decorated with art from around the world.

Great View in Paris

This apartment was great for our family’s trip to Paris. We enjoyed our stay here. The view is amazing. There are so many Metro stations nearby making it very easy to get around. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect apartment in beautiful quiet neighborhood

This apartment was exactly as advertised. The balcony gets sun throughout the day and the area is quite quiet so you can enjoy the apartment with the windows open without a lot of noise. Location could not be better -- very close to two different metro stops and a few blocks from a great outdoor market every Sunday/Thursday. Apartment was also very safe, had 3 different locked doors on entry level. Highly recommend, would go back and stay there again for sure!

The apartment was in a great location with lots of natural light. There were five of us stayed here comfortably. Close to metro and grocery stores. There could have been more water and drinking glasses in the kitchen and some soap and amenities in the toilet and shower. Lots of CDs but no CD player. We would stay here again!

Very nice place to stay

We rented this property at the beginning of July 2024 and had a very nice stay. Olivier was very accommodating and helped get us acquainted as soon as we got in town, even though we arrived a few hours before the 2pm check-in. There was some construction going on in the downstairs lobby and outside that was loud at times but it never interfered with us. The balcony was always enjoyable in the evening with a glass of wine. I enjoyed perusing the collection of books and found some similar interests to my own. Olivier was also always very responsive when we had questions. I definitely recommend staying here.

Modern, beautifully appointed apartment. On top floor of a large apartment building. Great view and security. Exactly as represented in photos and description. Close to metro stop and a fun area of budget ethnic restaurants, also a couple of grocery stores. Manager and representative very helpful. Only gripe was the wifi didn't work, couldn't bring up the right password. Can we return tomorrow?!

great Paris base

This is a very nice apartment in a nice, convenient neighborhood. The manager, Olivier, is very responsive and helpful. The apartment is well equipped with modern kitchen and bath. There is an amazing view from living/dining room. Beds are very comfortable. Only negatives are that the sofa and chairs in the living room are a bit past their prime and the access to the bathroom sink is a bit awkward due to location of washer/dryer...but having a nice washer/dryer is well worth the inconvenience.

Perfect Paris Apartment!

This location and apartment are perfect, I definitely want to stay here again. We easily rode the RER and metro from CDG with our luggage to arrive in the early afternoon. Olivier met us at the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know. The windows were my favorite thing. Although we did use the AC on the last day of our visit, we usually just left the gorgeous sliding glass doors/windows open and enjoyed the cross-breeze. Then at night, we shut the built-in blinds, which kept the bedrooms dark. We shopped at the local Carrefour and enjoyed pastries from the nearby bakeries. It was easy to access all the touristy spots in Paris via the metro, although without kids we would have walked more. We loved the Sunday market and hearing the bells from the cathedral. Everything about this apartment was lovely and French, and I hope we can return some day. Perfect location, thank you Olivier!

Perfect Location

This apartment was a superb location for Paris. It is a very short walk from the Metro with quick access to the main lines in the city. A 5 minute walk places you at markets, bakeries, fine dining, Parisian nightlife and nice stores. Two more minutes and you are at Place des Vosges, where you can enjoy a coffee, fine art, a beautiful old square in a luxurious area of Paris, surrounded by gorgeous trees and buildings. A 20 minute walk and you are at Notre Dame. In short, the location was ideal. Olivier was the perfect host. Within 5 minutes of our booking he messaged us to make introductions and connect on arrival details. We ended up needing an early check in and he worked with us to meet us early. The place was perfect for a glass of wine and staring down on the city. We felt safe and comfortable - a big thing for a father of 3 in a foreign city. We recommend this place highly and will definitely use when we go back.

Full of natural light with great views and very comfortable

7 Rue Pelee was the perfect apartment for us (2 women) staying 3 weeks in Paris. The location is excellent with close proximity to two fabulous markets, great local restaurants and bars, a range of supermarkets and gorgeous boutiques. Very close to the Marais so an easy walk to all it offers and a 20 minute easy walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. The beds are very comfortable with a good selection of pillows. Air conditioning fabulous, a functional kitchen and bathroom/laundry. TV good for news only in English, however a DVD player and a few DVD movies would enhance the stay. A big shelf of CDs but nothing to play them on. Very secure with 3 security doors to get into the building and 2 lifts that always worked. While spacious and clean with interesting furniture, the apartment is due for a coat of paint. We recommend a folder of more detailed information of the area and its amenities, restaurants etc. The Opera Bastille is very close and wonderful so worth booking a performance well ahead. We would return and we recommend the apartment for 2 singles or 2 couples.

Comfortable beds and quiet. Good A/C. Other than that, a little under-whelming..

The beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked great. It was also very quiet. The apartment is a little less charming than the pictures reflect, mostly due to the smaller details. Specifically, the ceiling of the restroom is covered in mildew, and none of the various charming looking lamps that you see in the living room work. We stayed for a week and the hot water only worked about 1/2 the time. A lot of cold showers. The washer worked well. The dryer did too AFTER we figured out that you have to empty a water collection tank periodically. We were not familiar with this, because dryers in U.S. are vented to the exterior and don't require tanks. We found ourselves needing to use the metro far more often than we would have liked, but that is probably our fault for not researching the location well enough when we booked. The apartment is about a 30 minute walk from the nearest major site (Notre Dame), with other sites like the louvre and Eiffel Tower out of reach by foot for all but the most ambitious of hikers. We needed to take the metro 2 or 3 times every day. You'll want to do your best to be accurate and prompt with the checkin time you arrange with the host. We communicated our ETA to him a couple of times as our travel day unfolded. In the end, we arrived 45 minutes later than we had planned and the host seemed a little smug about it. Also, the payment terms were very confusing and overly complicated. The HomeAway posting explains the rates one way, then after booking, we received a contract from the host that was broken down differently, then when we met the host in person to pay him in cash, he crunched the numbers a third way! In the end the total charges were correct to the Homeaway posting (+/- a few dollars) but it was definitely disconcerting to get lost in his methods, and have to just trust that it would shake out correctly. All and all the stay was just "okay."

Lovely, airy, comfy apartment!

This apartment worked great for us and our two teenagers. Location in the Marais is super, and access to Metro very close, so you can get everywhere quite easily. The apartment itself is just like in the pictures. It's on the top floor and has a panoramic view out over the city - no major monuments in the direct sight-line, but still very cool. It has lots of books and interesting art - very homey and cosy. The air conditioning works very well. The beds are quite comfortable. The neighborhood is pretty quiet so on the nights where we kept with the windows open, we were still able to sleep. Olivier was very accommodating when we needed to change our check-in time. Very satisfied, would rent again!

Great accommodations for our family of 5

We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers), so hotels can be difficult, requiring either two rooms or cramped quarters (sometimes both!). For our stay of 5 nights in Paris, we wanted to be comfortable and to be able to do laundry before moving on to our next destination. Some reviews indicate that the apartment is remote from major tourist sites. We did not find this to be a problem at all, and appreciated being in a quieter area. There's a Metro stop at the end of the street, and the Metro is incredibly easy to use. There are plenty of cafes within walking distance, and the open air market provides a great place to pick up breakfast foods to enjoy on the balcony before heading out for a day of sightseeing. Win The beds were comfortable and it was great for us all to feel like we had enough space and privacy. The ability to depart with clean clothes at the end of our stay was great as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Great for a short term stay.

We were here for four nights in July. The apartment is a great size for a family of four and has good amenities. The view of the city is great at night (not the main attractions but you can see Notre-Dame and the Montparnasse Tower) and is great for morning coffee. Was nice to be in a neighbourhood away from the real touristy areas. Walk to Notre-Dame was about 35 minutes and to the Arc de Triomphe about 1.5 hours. Beautiful winding streets and great local shops on the way to the Seine. Great restaurants and cafes in the area try Grazie or Alma the Chimney Cake Factory.

Good location to explore Paris

First, as later travels in Europe revealed, the blessing of air conditioning at night cannot be overstated. AC is not common, so pay attention when looking at other properties. Furthermore, the washer AND dryer for clothes is another nice to have. The apartment itself was good with nice security features, a 3 to 5 minute walk to two different Metro lines and easy access to two 'convenient' stores and a larger grocery. The beds were reasonably comfortable and extra pillows, blankets and towels are provided. The pullout couch was also acceptibly good considering. There was an extra 38 Euro fee payable in cash upon checking in as a tax or such that is not listed in the 'total' posted by VRBO. It's mentioned in the listing but easy to miss. Olivier met us at the apartment to provide a quick overview of the facilites.

Great view and a very comfortable apartment!

Our family enjoyed our stay in this spacious and nicely decorated apartment. Neighborhood is quite and the building secure. There are many great restaurants and fun shops within walking distance. It was really great o have the shower separate from the toilet and finding a rental with two twin beds in the second bedroom can be a challenge. The only challenge is the distance from most of the main attractions for first time visitors. That said we would stay here again on our next trip to Paris. Olivier was attentive and helpful in getting us settled.

Very comfortable and well located apartment.

As indicated the apartment is on the upper floor of a 10 story building. It is located very near the St, Martin canal and the Metro stop is at the end of the street. A wonderful farmers market occurs twice a week near the canal. It is very convenient for exploring the Marais and the older, central part of Paris. The apartment is clean and functional and even has AC for those warmer days. We used it minimally in September. The balcony is a bonus with a great view overlooking the neighborhood.
