The Lovely Cabin House Includes the entire House with an outdoor hot tub and all the amenities you you may want and need.

Come and stay surrounded by pine, cedar, oak and manzanita trees with all the peace and quite you need.

The drive is full of scenic views and stop points along the way siding the American River.... Amazing!

Three miles to the town of Foresthill. Twelve miles from Auburn. An hours drive to Lake Tahoe. One to two hours drive to Ski Resorts and two and a half hours to the Bay area.

As it is....A stay to remember and a place to enjoy time and time again.

We were in Auburn for family baby showerWhen I booked the property is said the property had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and living room couch for sleeping arrangements for 8 total peopleWhen we arrived we found a 2 bedroom house with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and not a comfortable couch to sleep on. Super disappointed. We had 5 people there and I had to sleep on the couch. On top of that there was no bedding, blankets or pillows for the couchOnly the 2 queen beds had blankets and pillowsThe VRBO listing stated there were 2 master suits with bathrooms and a 3rd bedroomThis house only sleeps 4 comfortably. Do not rent this property if you have more than four people on your tripThe host was super nice no problems with the host Super upset the listing info is totally bogus

Quiet Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. We enjoyed the location and the house was comfortable with soft bedding and all the needed amenities. Seth (the owner) was friendly and available when we checked in. He gave us a great suggestion for a place to go swimming. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice quick weekend getaway

Great spot

Great and relaxing spot off from the street and among the trees. The flow of the house and property were great, plenty of room for the kids to run around. The house was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the tools needed to cook a good meal and the hot tub was perfect. Enjoy it!

Quick, but quality getaway!

We booked Seth’s place on a whim and couldn’t be more pleased with how it paid off. The house was lovely, calm, comfy, and well appointed. Seth provided super detailed instructions that made it easy to navigate the check in, check out and operations within the space. He was also super helpful when assisting me with my booking snafu and subsequent challenges after our stay ended. I would not only recommend this space, but would be happy to stay there again myself.

Cozy little cabin

Our stay was great, our host went above and beyond making sure we were happy and comfortable during our stay and also accommodated us for my birthday, even went above and beyond helping us out while we were leaving (clearing the snow covered road for us) :) I would recommend this place, we will definitely be back to this cozy cabin nestled in the woods! The cabin is indeed a gem! We enjoyed our stay here very much. The house is well maintained, has a well equipped kitchen, and is nestled among trees. We even got a glimpse of a few deer around the house in the mornings. It has everything we hoped for and more (the bath tub allows you to chase sunsets! How lovely!!) Seth was quick to communicate, and very easy to work with. Overall it was a fantastic stay at Way Woods Retreat. This cabin is definitely our top pick in the Foresthill area.

Beautiful cabin home in a scenic area

Seth's place was gorgeous, both in setting and in terms of the property itself. The bedrooms/bathrooms are excellent and the kitchen had all the tools we needed to prepare multiple meals. Seth was great to communicate with, even when a deer knocked over a plant overnight and it took some investigating to figure it all out. Bonuses on the property include a hot tub and cozy fireplace. We were able to visit multiple nearby trails which were all quiet and scenic, and the home itself is in a pretty forest. Overall, a fantastic stay over a holiday that was all we could ask for. Thank you Seth!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Great cabin in great location, away from all the hustle and bustle, but not far enough if you crave the hustle and bustle. We wanted to spend some time in the snow and Seth recommend we drive up about 20 miles from where we stayed, and there was plenty of it. A lot of great local establishments just a short drive. A big bonus was the commodity that we all can’t seem to leave without this days, GREAT WiFi, that makes posible all the streaming services in the middle of the woods while the fire place is going. The cabin had everything you need, toiletries, silverware, towels, pots and pans, TVs, and plenty of board games. All in all we had a very nice time and looking forward to come back. Thanks for the hospitality Seth!

Foresthill

The property needs to update their linens. Bed sheets were unacceptable and the towels were not any better. Hot water took at least 15 minutes to warm up for the shower. One bathroom had a shower curtain that fell down when trying to close it and the other was wide open and super cold. We arrived late at night the house was cold no heat on. Attempted to build a fire but no dry wood, kindling or paper to get it started

Lovely cabin in the woods

We just came back from a working vacation at Seth's wonderful cabin. Location is terrific, very close to mountain biking trails and many swimming holes. My son took walks in the woods around the house, and discovered many little trails. House itself is very well maintained and has a lot of character. It also has AC, which is no small deal given how hot Forresthill gets in the middle of summer! WiFi is very good as well, and reached all the way to the outside dinning table - so we could work sitting outside looking out. And lastly - a very welcome surprise, both beds were remarkably comfortable! Seth, the owner, was very helpful and attentive. All in all - I highly recommend and would stay there again.

Cabin was nice. No central air. Rooms were hot.

The instructions from the owner were not to park on patio in front of house and not in front of garage. There were 4 of the owners vehicles parked in and around the designated parking area. The cabin is at the bottom of a steep driveway. With two vehicles it was nearly impossible to park or manuever to get out. Also someone whom I assume is the caretaker was in and out of the garage. It was definitely not very private feeling.

Most guests who stay at the Cabin House in the TVE are very pleased. Read reviews on other vacation rental sites. There are more positive things about the stay here than negative. Guests should mention them when leaving reviews. They generally enjoy the size and amenities of the cabin house. The beds are very comfortable and it is clean and accommodating. It is peaceful, quite and has lakes, scenic views and hiking and biking trails nearby. This is a place that costs half the price for what you get to comparably priced places.
