The amenities were poorly maintained host new about the issue a week before we arrived. Hot tub didn’t work. King size bed had broken down mattress. Smoke detectors were chirping. There was a bad electrical circuit in the basement

Response from VrboOwner on 10 Jan, 2026
We're so sorry your stay was not satisfactory!
Following your message that the hot tub was not heating quickly due to being unplugged for regularly scheduled maintenance the day prior, we responded immediately and reached out to the manufacturer to check about the heater. The last we had heard during your stay, the temp was almost normal so we assumed it was fine by Saturday evening following your Friday afternoon check in. Apologies for not following up!
As for the other concerns, this is the first we are hearing of these after many issue-free bookings and we will make sure that we correct any and all problems immediately.
Again, we are sorry that you did not have a five star experience.
About the host
Hosted by Nicki Everman
Our names are Nicki and Corey. Corey is originally from Louisville and Nicki is from Winchester (just outside of Lexington). We love living in Lexington but also traveling! We are both really into comedy, music, theater, and just about any kind of live performance art. We also both really love food lol. This is our first experience with a property on VRBO, and we are just really excited to give people a nice peaceful and enjoyable stay during their travels!
Why they chose this property
We are one of the fortunate families to live directly on the pond, and it is so beautiful and peaceful here. There is so much wildlife around and it's just fun to watch. Everyone in the neighborhood is also super friendly and it meets the definition of community. Plus, this neighborhood has grown so much over the past 10 years and there are new restaurants and places to shop.
What makes this property unique
The property is centrally-located less than 10 minutes from Interstates 64 and 75, and New Circle Road in Lexington. You can be in Midway, Versailles, Frankfort, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Paris, and Winchester within 30 minutes. Close to downtown and Keeneland! The house itself is spacious and has 3 floors allowing for guests to enjoy time together but also retreat to their own spaces. Also, the kitchen, bathroom, and back deck have recently been renovated, and the deck is an oasis on its own.
