We had a really good time at this place. It was comfortable and scenic. Would recommend staying here. The yard is small but big enough for little kiddos or pets. The host is close by if there are any issues. We did not have any:)
A very peaceful setting. Quiet area where all you can hear are the birds chirping and the flow of the river that is just steps from the back porch. This is the perfect place to relax.
Loved the retro up north cabin style! We enjoyed bon fires each night while listening to the river, birds & bugs! And thank you for welcoming our fur baby, he had a blast! The free firewood was also a big bonus! Your photos of the cabin’s view of the river should be updated. We were disappointed by all the fallen trees in the river blocking the view. We still had fun, it but take it as feedback We would absolutely return! We loved sitting on the desk with a bon fire crackling below us!
William was super responsive and helpful. House was perfect for what we needed. Great place to get away, be on the river, and enjoy northern Michigan!

Sweet place. The river is so close and it was so beautiful when stayed at the Sturgeon River Hideaway in early Jan 2026, right after a huge snow. Very considerate and communicative owner. Thanks!
This place has some soul! Beautiful stay. Clean. Easy to communicate with owners and the ripple of the river with a fire going was a beautiful way to unwind. Thank you
This is a really cool property with a great view of the river nearby. Huge fireplace with tons of firewood, interior decor is definitely vintage, but I think charming now. I would definitely stay here again!
