It`s known for its wineries, golf clubs, and the Shaw Festival, for a series of theatre productions. The flower-filled, tree-lined Old Town features 19th century buildings, mainly along Queen Street. Near the river, 19th century Fort George was built by the British to defend against American attacks.

Why they chose this property

Red Maple Retreat is tucked into a quiet pocket of Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake, where tree-lined streets lead to heritage homes, gardens in bloom, and the charm of a walkable community. My husband and I fell in love with Niagara-on-the-Lake for its theatrical charm, wine country elegance, and peaceful lakeside setting. Whether you’re here for the Shaw Festival, a weekend of vineyard tours, a family getaway, or simply to relax, I hope your stay at Red Maple Retreat feels seamless, welcoming, and restorative.
