Great back yard and patio with many places to sit and a flat walk on to the dock. Great gas grill and the kitchen appliances were all in great working condition with a nice island counter. All the rooms were very comfortable. Interesting decor with a cool music theme.

It was an honor hosting your lovely family
Beautiful home to spend a summer week! Walking trails and canoeing were our favorite activities! Grocery shopping and a great French bakery just minutes away by car!

Thank you so much for staying at HOB on the Lake! I hope to see you in the future prhaps in London next year :)
Miki was an excellent host. She provided everything we needed at the house and more. The house was very cozy and truly felt like home. The backyard had plenty of space for the kids to play, and the fire pit area was perfect for making s'mores at night. We would definitely consider staying there again.
Property was fantastic. Very unique. Yard to lake is flat and good games for all ages. Lake is quiet. Fishing right off the dock killer. Convenient to everything especially the grocery store.

Thank you Ryan! My sister and I appreciate everything about you and your family It was an honor to host you!!
Miki was a fabulous host. Communicated throughout our stay making sure we had everything we needed and knew all the information for our stay. We even had the pleasure of meeting her upon our arrival. Miki you are just a wonderful and down to earth person. Your house was beautiful. We just wish we knew the stories and origins behind all of your artwork and pictures throughout the house. Maybe little QR codes under each would be helpful lol. The lake was perfect! Quite and peaceful. Between outdoor space and the indoor space it accommodated our whole family. We were comfortable, relaxed, and just enjoyed our stay. The sun room was the place for all the women to read and talk. The lake was the kids spot to swim and tire themselves out. The men we had plenty of chairs and the BBQ to keep us busy and entertained as well. Overall I would give ten stars if I could. Thank you Miki for allowing my family to stay at your gorgeous house.

It was absolutely my pleasure, your family is fabulous and we are thrilled to be in the same Village as you :) Thank you for leaving everythng in such great shape, it was obvious you treated the property as if it were your own and I hope to see again!
Excellent property. Convenient to all the golfing and shopping we wanted. Pontoon rides were wonderful. Lake is clean! Public park boarders the property on one side, but a good amount of space as well as plenty of privacy fence and trees are provided. We felt safe with our family. Walked the neighborhood path around the lake together. Miki is the best host and went out of her way to make sure we had the best time… new bike, new life jackets and set out a basketball just for my boys. The primary bedroom was so comfortable and dark! I slept in every morning here and I can honestly say I have NEVER slept in past 7am! Excellent showers. We have no complaints.Kids loved swimming in the lake. Sat by the fire every evening. Ate on the patio under the umbrella. Indulged in DoorDash cheesecake deliveries. Movie nights in the cozy living room. (Miki provided every streaming app possible!) Grilled steaks and hamburgers, made pizza and salads. Everything felt like home. Thanks, Miki!!

Oh my gosh your family was fabulous and left the house as if you’d never been there! Thank you for the unopened steaks we bbq’d and toasted you! I hope we have the honor of hosting you again!
This lovely home was exactly as promised and more. Miki met us at check in and gave us a tour to make sure we knew what was there. All the rooms were full of fascinating art pieces, the kitchen was very well stocked, the lakeside made it hard to leave! We can’t recommend this home highly enough! Thanks Miki!
Miki is the most gracious host I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She gave us a tour of the home and staged the house with fresh groceries upon our arrival. After a long morning of travel, the groceries were very helpful. A boat was made available to us to rent and the family absolutely loved riding on the lake!! She even gave our special needs daughter a gift as a token of her hospitality. Miki was super helpful and available around the clock. Couldn’t have asked for a better host or stay!!
PERFECT for hosting family and extended family from ages 5 to 72. With a public park next door (including playground equipment and a little swimming beach) in addition to "our own" dock, canoe, fire pit, nice sized yard, patio, et al, we could have happily spent our whole vacation right there without starting a car. There's even a Dairy Queen within easy walking distance. :) A big Cub grocery is 3 minutes away (by car).
Host Miki was 100% responsive and helpful. We felt safe. The neighborhood was calm and quiet. The house was perfectly clean and very, very attractive inside and in back. We hated to leave!
We came into town for a funeral and for the few days we were there it rained, snowed, sleeted, and hailed. During our trip this place was a wonderful refuge. The host Miki was amazingly responsive, helpful and understanding. (Thanks so much Miki!) The decor is personal and eclectic and warm and comfortable - the very opposite of a sterile hotel room. We spent many hours in the family room and sun room working on our computers (great wifi) looking out the many windows at the lake in the backyard. This place would have been even better in the warm months when we could have used the dock and gone swimming. As it was, the rooms were comfortable, the house was well stocked, the parking was easy, the neighborhood was pretty and quiet and it was easy to get to all the places we wanted to go.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your daughters. I hope to see you at Mountain Winery or if you come back for a stay during the warm months!
Check-in exceeded our expectations! Host was thorough, warm, and welcoming. We arrived with a fresh pot of coffee made along with a couple of cold drinks in the fridge and even coffee creamer. This home is stunning to say the least. We utilized all the beds and everyone had a great night sleep. The soaking tub was a big hit with the gals. The real gem is the yard. The lake was warm and great for swimming. The kids caught fish after fish even without bait! The use of the canoe and kayak were a nice option. There are bikes to use but we were so busy enjoying the lake each day we never used them. The "Florida" room began our evening game night area. Good selection of games. Kids were happy to see Kerplunk. This place was exactly what we needed to disconnect from work and reconnect with family. The neighborhood was lovely. Cub grocer is just down the road. If youre looking for a place that gives you it all you've found it!
Miki is an amazing host! The home is beautiful and couldn't have fit our family's needs and vibes more perfectly. My grown up kids had so much fun on the swim platform and in the canoe and it was like watching them be little again. I think this is the first family trip that none of us were ready to head home from! You can't go wrong by staying here.
Wonderful home. Had everything we needed. Went for pontoon rides, swimming, kayaking. Beautiful quiet lake. Up north feel, but only minutes from downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. Family and friends all had a great time. Miki was great in answering all our questions.
Thank you so much for opening your charming and well-provisioned home! We enjoyed the lake, the boats, the community, privacy and all the extra delights offered to your guests.
Home was very clean. Centrally located to many activities in the St Paul Minneapolis area
Great place to stay close to the cities but does not seem like it. Quiet neighborhood. Grandchildren loved the fishing and swimming from the swim dock. Needs some updating but other than that very nice place to stay
Great host, interesting home, super lake, nice yard with fire pit, and an all around fun place. Highly recommend this home and especially if you are a blues fan.
loved the lake view and outside space. the bedrooms were very comfortable. there needs to be a place to eat inside. The owner is very accommodating. Her home is very homey and interesting to look at.
The kids could fish off the end of the dock and pull up a sun fish one after another. We did catch and release. We did swing in the lake.. NOT one leach . I hate those things..
mall of America was close also loved going to Sea Quest. Kitchen, bedding all well stocked. Plenty of outdoor seating. Loved the sun room the kids would play games in there during the day than the adults would sit in there at night . The owner was great at communicating very accommodating.
House of Blues on the Lake is a true slice of Minnesota lake life with a nod to the arts. Miki’s home is in a fantastic location - close to restaurants and shopping, and just twenty minutes from the airport, yet when there, you feel as if you’re removed from the hustle and bustle and have a view into what Minnesota is all about. While there, we saw loons, an eagle and a great blue heron. Every corner of Miki’s home, including the backyard and the interior, is comfortable and invites one to relax and enjoy. There are delightful and interesting spaces and tableaus at every turn. Miki herself was very accommodating and available whenever we had a question. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Our family enjoyed the lakefront, and the swimming was great fun. Thank you, Miki, for sharing your House of Blues on the Lake.
The property was located on the edge of a park and lake front with easy access into the neighborhood. Centrally located to almost anything in the cities.
The owner met us at the home and briefly walked through the house and all of the nostalgia (so incredible, it was like staying in a museum) The rooms were perfect for my 94 yo mother downstairs and 4 adults, all with beautiful views of the lake.
If you like to cook or entertain a guest she had every spice or device you would need including a brand new grill! Plus an added bonus of an Nespresso machine and pods!
The sunrise and sunsets were amazing also. I really felt like this was a most memorable VRBO experience that we have ever encountered! The added bonus was the owner was fabulous and let us stay as long as we needed the afternoon of our flight. Highly recommend.
