We had a wonderful stay, Close to downtown shopping. Wifi was very strong for all your networking needs. We downloaded Google Maps using the house's wifi to get around Point Reyes
Headline: Rodent poop in drawers and animal poop in cabinets, told that it's just a factor of country life. Basic things could fix it like putting screens on windows (many of the windows don't have screens, many of the screens are torn and worn). We were diligent about the windows and keeping the door closed, so it didn't happen on our stay. We communicated this to the hosts who sent the cleaner over, which we appreciated, but even though I sent pics of the feces, it was still there after the cleaner came and left. There are cobwebs on the windows, dirty dishes left for us in cabinets, septic/sewage smell in one of the bathrooms, just a lack of regular maintenance it seems. One of the bedrooms, advertised as a king bed, is unlikely to actually have a king size bed, and it's a sun room with no fans anywhere on the property (hence the hunt in cabinets that weren't locked for a fan), making a summer stay here challenging if the rodent issue wasn't. Wild grass and plants overgrown on the wooden chairs and walkways that a gardening visit once a season would take care of. The door code didn't work when we got in, couldn't get cell service, had to go back to down to call them and get a code to a separate lockbox for a key. They were responsive and helpful, luckily, but could have been avoided, as the cleaner left a note saying the lockbox being broken is a "known issue." This has no business being a vacation rental in its current state, but could be if taken care of.

Restorative!
We spent a lovely three days @ QNR. The property is comfortable, homey, and just rustic enough. A quick ride into town and across the road from a great meadery. Terrific communication with the owners and property manager. Beautiful birds, deer, and turkeys sightings around the house.

January visit
The Quail's Nest is in a lovely location, which is very convenient for exploring the Pt Reyes seashore. The house is well appointed and comfortable for two couples with a good selection of seating options. The afternoon sun took the chill off the living room and sun porch. We would recommend it to our friends and would stay there again when we are in the area.
The house is a little funky, but it definitely grows on you. All of the beds and furniture are comfortable and cozy. The location is lovely with window views where you don’t see any of the neighboring houses. The house is well equipped for cooking and staying indoors while a short distance to all of the wonderful hikes at Point Reyes National Park.
We were escaping smoke from fires in the Sierras and spent four days at Point Reyes. This place could not have been better. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, great space for music, chatting, game playing, etc.
It was quiet and beautiful. Loved sleeping in the glassed in room with the windows open. It was a flawless stay and allowed us to have great hikes and a fun Tomales Bay kayak trip.
This is a lovely house in the best possible location. It’s on a quiet private road within walking distance (long walk) of Pt Reyes Station’s main drag. Everything in the home is easy to find, and it’s well stocked.
Beautiful cabin. We felt right at home and really enjoyed the area. It was so neat seeing wild turkey walking around in the morning as well as several deer throughout our stay. We'll be back!

Disappointed
The house not clean when we checked in at the scheduled time. We found dusty table tops, spiders webs in every window, cobwebs on kitchen walls, spots on the kitchen floor and rodent droppings in a kitchen drawer. The sun shade was not present on the porch. Aside from new bathrooms, which were very nice, the house is quite outdated and the living room furniture is decades old. 2 weeks later, we still haven’t gotten out deposit back.
The house feels like home. Warm energy throughout.
It would be helpful to know the full price with all fees before booking.

Very close to town and yet secluded, this home has a lived in feel, a well stocked kitchen, and was quite comfortable for 5 of us ladies. The high light is a deck surrounded by grassland and wisteria

Great escape
We spent Christmas at this cabin and loved it. It was very cozy and surrounded by nature. Short drive to town and hiking trails. The hosts were very responsive and nice.
The only thing that needs upgrading is the kitchen utensils, pots and pans, which the hosts already have plan to do soon.

Great location
What a beautiful place! The description was accurate. We saw so many wildlife (deer, quails, hummingbirds, etc.) while sitting outside on the patio. The stained glass added a lot of charm to the place as well. It was a perfect weekend getaway for my family and I. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!
This is a cute and charming cabin- feeling house on a big lot which gives you privacy.

Quails Nest - a nice retreat
Our family of 4 spent 4 nights at the quails nest. The property is wonderful-- room to wander and relax .The house has a homey welcoming vibe, with loads of books and the perfect window seat We ate dinner on the covered porch and drank wine in the adirondack chairs. We walked across the street to the meadery to sample mead. Our kids had their own room with twin beds. The kitchen has anything you need.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the homey feel of the place. Great place to just unwind. The location is close to Point Reyes Station that has all the amenities.

Lovely spot
Such a beautiful location and a charming space. I can't wait to stay another time. I do wish that the kitchen was better equipped and that the stove was in better condition. But the cabin is clearly maintained with care and love, and the owners were helpful and responsive.

Terrific quiet spot
Terrific quiet spot, close to everything. Obvious pride of ownership by the hosts in keeping the house in top condition. Well equipped and comfortable, very easy to settle in and feel right at home. Bathrooms are nicely updated and hot water supply is plentiful. Cell phone coverage of the whole Point Reyes area is spotty, and the house is just outside service range. However the wifi is excellent.
