Charming Point Reyes Cottage with Decks and Lovely Garden
4 PERSON MAXIMUM - NO EXCEPTIONS. STRICTLY ENFORCED. NO PETS ———- The Robin's Nest is a cottage home surrounded by decks and a lovely flower garden and located in the heart of the Point Reyes National Seashore.
The Robin's Nest was built as a hunting and fishing retreat in the 1920's when people came to the area by boat, train and stage coach. It is located in a residential area overlooking Tomales Bay in a sun belt. It is 3 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore headquarters and the park trail system. It is 2 miles from the town of Point Reyes Station which is the regional center(although only has a population of 500) with restaurants, an excellent grocery store and various shops. The Point Reyes lighthouse is approximately 15 miles out to the coast and provides an excellent vantage point where the whales pass by twice a year .
Inverness Park and the Robin's Nest are 38 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge so it is readily accessible to San Francisco. Because it is located in the National Seashore and along the coast line, it is in a protected zone so the surroundings are rural even though so close to the urban attractions of the Bay Area.
The house has a living room, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two baths. A third bedroom and bath are located in a separate smaller building behind the main house. The two buildings are totally surrounded by approximately 900 square feet of decking which allows for taking full advantage of the outdoors.
There is a sauna and one of the bathrooms in the main house has a steam bath, so getting the ache out after a long run or hike is no problem.
The house is well equipped with a gas grill, TV (with cable tv) WiFi , and comfortable furniture and art work reflecting the Latin American travels of the owners. The kitchen has necessary cooking equipment, a self cleaning electric stove and basic cooking condiments.
The house is heated by a Vermont castings wood burning stove and there is plenty of fire wood. Electric heaters are available to supplement the wood stove while it heats up.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your Fall trip to Robin’s Nest- it’s such a great time to visit. We hope your plans bring you back !
Thanks for your comment! We’d love to have laundry but there is nowhere to install and our septic system could not handle it. We will make it clearer online that we don’t have laundry.
Our family had a wonderful stay at Robin's Nest! The cottage exudes warmth and comfort, making it a perfect fit for the beauty and natural environment of Point Reyes National Seashore.

Wow! Sounds like a hugely successful trip! We are glad you enjoyed your time at the National Seashore - it’s a special place.
The stay was enhanced by the blooming flowers, friendly kitchen dining and tasteful art through out.

We’re so happy you enjoyed your stay and are coming for a return visit in Sept. The simplicity of west Marin is so restorative.
Great location, easy to check in, plenty of light throughout and nice amenities. Steam shower was extremely relaxing and the walk-in closet was perfect place for our infant to take a nap without any light interference

Thanks so much for your comments! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of the steam shower. I had to laugh at your baby sleeping in the closet...it is a cozy little nook.
We had a lovely stay at Robins Nest. This is a real house with lots of nice art on the walls and thoughtful furnishings, not a bare bones place. We appreciated Grace’s detailed instructions and trust. Recommended!

Perfect escape to natural beauty yet easy to reach from SFO
This cottage is easy to reach yet feels like a true getaway to a beautiful site with lots of hikes. We spent a Thanksgiving weekend exploring the natural parks (state and national) while making a wonderful meal, with ingredients supplied by excellent local shops, in a beautifully appointed and super comfortable country cottage.
