Nicely appointed house, well equipped and supplied by the host. Washer and drier were especially appreciated. Easy to get to attractions up and down Mid-Coast Maine.

Thank you for the kind words! We're so glad the house felt well equipped and that the washer and dryer came in handy during your stay. It's wonderful to hear the location made it easy to explore all that Mid-Coast Maine has to offer.
Lovely home, perfect for Lobster Festival. Only thing we would change is switching out the queen bed for a king…but we did just fine. Rockland is delightful. Thank you!
Katie , a pleasure having you stay at the Grasslands Xiao & I truly appreciate all you did before heading home. Best of everything and please visit again. James
This is a property advertised as 5 minutes from the town. That is by car. However, a person can walk several blocks and be on the very enjoyable "harbor walk" right to the center of town (and beyond, I suspect). The house was spotless and well equipped for all needs, including a gas barbecue and a very enjoyable and spacious deck. The hosts left us some treats to get started (I am still looking for Red Stripe beer!). All in all, this property was key to our very enjoyable vacation. I highly recommend.
Spacious property with easy parking and a great location

As an earlier reviewer pointed out, the house is on a busy road (Main St) there are no pictures of the front of the house. The picture provided is of the right side of the home. It isn’t possible to sleep with the windows open. There are two baths but only one has a shower, the other is a claw foot tub. The center bedroom is only accessible by crossing through the front bedroom or the upstairs bath. The shower bathroom is only accessible the first floor. It was clean and easily to check in and well stocked. The property description should and could be clearer. Thanks
We loved the rental. I raised my kids in an older home, they loved the charm of the house and the easy walkability of Rockland. It was a successful vacation.
Great house close to everything in Rockland-Owls Head area
Place was really cute and clean and located just outside Rockland Center on the road to Owls Head. Very convenient. Great deck with a gas fire pit. Would definitely stay here again.
The house was spotless and well located to restaurants and museums in downtown. The deck is great for gathering. Jimmy, the property manager, was responsive and very easy and pleasant to work with. And coastal Maine is beautiful!

Rockland Visit
The Rockland home was spotless and we were welcomed with a note and flowers from the host and hostess. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks that the we had requested. The host was available to answer any questions and provided us with information about restaurants and places to visit. The house is located within walking distance to the harbor and town. I highly recomend a vist to Rockland and this welcoming home.
The house is immaculate. Grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. Easy walking distance to downtown, harbour and all amenities.
There are stairs, which we are used to, but I mention it as some may have mobility issues. The house is 19th century, and it’s bones reflect this. It has been updated with modern touches, without destroying its essential character.
Property was vey nice. Bathroom upstairs should be updated to include a shower especially for large groups. Bathrooms smelled if windows did not remain open. Trees coming into property need to be cut back given it was extremely hard to safely exit the property to the left given you could not see oncoming traffic. However, in all it was very a enjoyable vacation.

Great having you Barbara we appreciate how tidy your left the home.. Jim has trimmed those trees back finally , I have been after him to take care of that, thanks for the prompt that’s all it took, the crazy thing was the vent to the second floor bathroom the pipe that that sticks out of the roof was somewhat blocked from pine needles from that same tree ! Slight order gone..we appreciate being made aware of all issues and like to hear suggestions on what we might add or do differently.Hope to see you next season. Xiao
