This spacious, beautiful, and well-decorated home is conveniently located at the end of a quiet residential street abutting 8 acres of conservation land. The house is fully furnished & equipped, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. The main living area consists of a bright and airy open-concept space with cathedral ceiling, multiple skylights, central AC plus a ceiling fan. There is also radiant heat throughout the house and a fireplace in the living room.
The state-of-the-art, fully appointed kitchen has a large island, granite countertops and Jenn-Air stainless appliances. Home is tastefully decorated throughout with a mix of antique and modern furnishings as well as oriental rugs and original artwork.
The master bedroom suite has a king bed, sliding doors that open to a private deck and an ensuite bath with shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and an ensuite bath, while the third bedroom has twin bunk beds and a full bath adjacent to it.
The lower level has a TV sitting area with sectional sofa. There is also a fourth full bath with shower and washer/dryer.
The exterior includes a large wrap-around deck in back which is ideal for dining or entertaining. Off the master bedroom suite is a private deck with sitting area and outside the lower level is a patio area with additional seating. There is also an outdoor shower and professionally landscaped gardens.
This ideal vacation home is well equipped with lots of books, games, a foosball table, wifi and 3 televisions with cable. It is perfectly located only a 5-10 minute drive to the towns of Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs or Edgartown where you will find great shops and galleries, movies, theaters, and many wonderful restaurants. Also within a short drive are spectacular beaches, charter fishing, windsurfing, golf, tennis and so much more to make for a perfect Vineyard vacation any time of year.

Excellent accommodations, great host

Well located in Vineyard Haven. Lisa was a great host sharing a lot of information about Martha’s Vineyard which prepared us well for our visit. The house was extremely well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Everything was provided and we received some flowers and a gift of chocolate at check-in. We look forward to returning in the future.

Idyllic MV vacation spot

My husband, adult daughter, niece and her partner stayed at this lovely MV house! The owners are so helpful and welcoming, and respond immediately to any questions or issues. They are the best VRBO hosts!! The house is spotless, comfortably furnished, and has a well-appointed kitchen. It’s in a great location. We will definitely be back!

Outstanding location and great owner

My colleague and I booked this home as we were in MV for 6 days on business. The home is very well equipped and comfortable. A nice deck and outdoor grill were great to have, but the location of the home near Vineyard Haven and Edgartown was what really impressed me. You’re close to everything including stores and restaurants, and the ferry. Definitely recommend!

Ours was a birthday trip and we couldn’t have chosen better. Lisa,the owner, met us, explained everything, had small gifts for us, and even went out and purchased a tick remover when one of us found one attached. The house was immaculate and had all the essentials, and it’s in in a great location for visiting the island. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect family stay

House location was fantastic and so close to "downtown". Decor of house was modern yet comfortable with great attention to details. Open floor plan was well suited for us all to be together. Beds were very comfy and provided us all with great sleeping. The back deck was so secluded and private. House amenities met all our needs for a perfect family stay. Our host couldn't have been more accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

A gem in the woods

This is a beautiful home set up against a private conservation area. The architecture and art are superb, but the home sacrifices nothing in terms of comfort and function. The location is central to most of the island's best attractions. And the owners were exceedingly responsive to our requests. We will definitely return.

wonderful rental in Tisbury

This is one of the best rental experiences we have had. Lisa is a fabulous host, she is extremely responsive. The house is super-clean and well-equipped. It was very comfortable for two couples and extremely well-located. There are two lovely decks that face out onto the nature preserve that borders the back of the property. Internet is very reliable if you need to work. You absolutely can't go wrong with this rental.

A New Perspective of the Island

We have vacationed on Martha's Vineyard for 40 years, for the last 10 years staying in Vineyard Haven. We have always stayed in homes "in town", making it easy for us and friends to explore on their own. This year, because of the COVID virus, we were able to stay on the Vineyard longer working remotely and combined both pleasure, relaxation and rejuvenation with some work. Lisa's and Ivory's home on Sylvan Lane is a wonderful combination of both worlds: quiet, in the trees, yet close to town. Because we had 3 remote workers in the house, we needed good internet and we needed space. Sylvan Lane provided that! We love to cook and grill - great kitchen and outside grill provided that! Breakfast and dinner on the beautiful deck were part of our daily routine! It was also thrilling to see fledging red hawks flying through the forest, even at one point settling in on the deck railing! Deer families also sauntered through the yard from time to time! The house itself is lovely with so much light and very well designed space. We hope to be able to return!

Fantastic place

We’ve been renting on Martha’s Vineyard for 15 years and our stay here was the best on several fronts. The home is spotless and has everything a family would need and extremely comfortable, in fact, this is the only rental that had a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates along with hotel style shower needs. This attention to detail and always helpful recommendations are due to the owners’ desire that one enjoys their stay. We definitely plan on returning.

Paradise Found...

Lisa and Ivory are amazing hosts and the property is beautiful and while centrally located, is quite and private. Our families have been renting on Martha’s Vineyard for approximately 40 years and I have to say we have never experienced such caring and responsive owners. We were slightly anxious, as this was our first rental during COVID. Lisa greeted us and we were immediately put at ease once we saw her spotless home. We stayed for a month and spent some time working. We had more than enough space to spread out and participate on our seperate calls. The home is very close to the bike path that can take you to most all spots down-island. We love to cook and grill while on vacation and really enjoyed the well-equipped and modern kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are high quality. No detail has been overlooked. During our stay, Lisa and Ivory were only a text away, answering our questions. We highly recommend this home, for long or short stays. You will enjoy!

Haven during the time of Covid

We spent a month at Lisa and Ivory's MVY rental that we affectionately coined our Treehouse home. The location was excellent: backing onto a lush forested area which gave the home a sense of privacy and tranquility whilst still providing easy access to all the amenities of Vineyard Haven and beyond. The architecture is thoughtful with windows/skylights to maximize the light and view from inside the house whilst the outside decking facilitated a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience. Every element of the interior has been thought through with finesse, from the selection of tasteful furnishings through to the smallest detail of sufficient measuring spoons in the kitchen drawer. It was our first visit to MVY, Lisa gladly shared local knowledge to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of our vacation. Every detail of our visit from checkin/checkout through to suggested activities was thoughtful in regards to the current pandemic. The property was spotlessly clean. We genuinely appreciated Lisa and Ivory's hospitality and look forward to returning to the Vineyard soon.

Quiet, but convenient location

Quiet property, nice to be away from traffic but still have easy access to town. Some great trails nearby. We loved the 2 decks & spent a lot of time on them. Master bedroom is huge & has its own deck

Wonderful retreat!

Over the last 15 years we have stayed in many rental homes on the Vineyard and this is our most favorite to date! The home is just beautiful with every amenity you can imagine to make you feel comfortable and right at home. Lisa truly thought of everything! The home was immaculate, spacious and perfectly located, and just a quick drive to downtown Vineyard Haven, which we love. Lisa could not have been more gracious or accommodating, and even greeted us with a beautiful bottle of wine and card. We will definitely be returning next year!
