Boasting 3,500 square feet of well-appointed living space, 'Moreno Rose' is the ideal mountain retreat on your next trip to Eagle Nest. Colorful sunsets against Wheeler Peak are waiting to dazzle you from this home's spacious viewing deck!

Pine-paneled vaulted ceilings welcome you inside this beautiful home. Have a seat one of the 2 plush couches in front of the flat-screen cable TV to watch your prime-time favorites.

The designated chef will be able to prepare home-cooked meals with ease in the fully equipped kitchen featuring an island with a built-in breakfast bar. Serve meals at the handcrafted pine table with unique bench seating for the entire group.

For family-friendly fun, head downstairs to the furnished basement and game room. Challenge loved ones to a game of foosball or enjoy a long soak in the hot tub.

Rest up for the next day's mountain adventure in one of the 2 bedrooms - 1 with a king bed and 1 complete with a queen bed. The loft offers a comfortable full bed and single futon, while the basement provides a double futon to accommodate 2.

Beautiful Property & Convenient Location for Local Attractions

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It was such a spacious and inviting home with everything needed for a cozy holiday. We had a minor plumbing issue, but our host took care of it right away and it did not impact us. The home is located conveniently just a few minutes away from both Angel Fire and Red River; we enjoyed attending Oktoberfest as well as sleeping in and going for short walks around the property. The sunsets were spectacular! Overall, we had a relaxing and fun time and would definitely come back during ski season.

We were excited for our family trip, however we were sadly disappointed with the state of the rental. There were old tattered towels and linens. Rat poop in the kitchen, all pots & pans in lower cabinets are contaminated by the feces. There was a dirty cast iron skillet on the porch next to a dead rat. The microwave sounds like it is about to explode, not sure it is safe to use. The oven door handle is held on with a wire. We did not feel safe letting and children sleep downstairs b/c there are French doors with cinder block in front of them. It is very cut off from the home & you can’t hear them down there if something should happen.

Great house/property but DIRTY!

The house and the property are nice and secluded, which is what we were looking for in a place. There was a hill behind the house that allowed the children to go sledding, and they had a blast. The appliances are older, but everything worked. Perfect for what we needed. My reason for not giving 5 stars is because the house was not cleaned prior to our arrival and there was no response from the owners when addressed with the property company. What's unfortunate to renters is that we pay A LOT in fees to come to a house that wasn't cleaned. I made a complaint to the property company, and there was no response from the owners. When we arrived, the floors hadn't been vacuumed, animal hair was everywhere downstairs, the kitchen was dirty (refrigerator, stove, floors), and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned either (toothpaste spray on the mirrors from people who were there previously). We spent the first couple of hours cleaning and vacuuming, so it was clean enough for the kids. When you’re charged a hefty cleaning fee, I would expect the place to be clean. I’m disappointed in the no response by the home owner.

Passover Seder in a Cabin

A really lovely property! We had planned on hiking but in early April, the nearby trails were a bit too snowy. But you could just walk out the back door and go up the hill. Hot tub was great! Lots of good places to hang out and read a book. Kitchen is well-equipped. I made all our food in advance and we had a camping themed seder. The dogs loved it. They could run around the house for hours. Not too close to the road. It was a bit difficult to find. Otherwise perfect. And the care taker is a very nice and helpful man.

Great Value

This home is large and great for the price! My family was pleased and I would recommend it. I was a bit nervous before my arrival due to some of the reviews about cleanliness, and I too would have liked the house to be cleaner. Like some others, we found a dead mouse as soon as we arrived. It was trapped between the window and screen in the living room. This wasn't a big deal to us. There were pet hair dust bunnies throughout the house, and pet hair got on our clothes throughout our stay. I don't have pets, but I somewhat expected this type of thing since the house is a pet-friendly rental. The hot tube was very clean and we enjoyed it after skiing daily. A hot tub cleaning service even showed up during our stay, but cheerfully agreed to come back on a different day since we were still there. My kiddo absolutely loved the cute loft and all the space to play. There were tons of clean towels, which was great for such a large house with a hot tub. The house was missing a few things that are pretty standard in most VRBO's I've been to, like body soap for the master bath, but I made due with the hand soap at the sink. It was nothing significant enough to call the property manager for. We were dropped off to ski every day, so the distance from Red River was not a problem, but we were glad to have AWD on the first night with dicey weather. The "what's nearby" section lists Taos as 10.3 miles away, but that turned out to be as the crow flies and it would be a closer to an hour to drive there. The property manager was responsive to my communication. My family enjoyed this property very much and we recommend it!

Incredible mountain views-

The property is on an amazing piece of land and close enough to the slopes. The 4-season room was great for stargazing and elk watching. We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the property, and thought for the price we paid that the cleaning process could have been better. We were also really excited about the Foosball table and Dart Board but they didn't work. But overall it was a nice time and a beautiful location.

Loved the cabin but bad Rodent issues

Our vacation in Eagles Nest was lovely and the house is beautiful. However, with an infant crawling around we found the rodent droppings and dead mice a concern. Our four year old found droppings on the bed and dressers upstairs in the loft area. When untucking the sheets in the master bedroom we discovered bird seed and blue rodent feces (poison?) under the pillows. Luckily we packed our own bedsheets and comforter for our stay. We found rodent droppings in the cabinets and inside the coffee pot. We also discovered a loaf of bread left behind from a previous tenant that mice had chewed into in one of the kitchen cabinets. We found a dead mouse in the window seal of the living room area, a second dead mouse in the garage and a third dead mouse in the laundry room down stairs. Again, lots of rodent droppings in the garage.

Moreno Valley

The Angel Fire and Eagle Nest area is a gem. This property allowed us to enjoy everything the area had to offer. It was clean, well appointed, and very spacious. We particularly enjoyed the sunroom. We’ll be back!

The hot tub didn’t work and was dirty.. Some places on the floor was sticky The showers downstairs needed work in shower heads. Found clothing under one of the beds. After asking about the hot tub getting fixed, the manager never responded to any of my calls . Furniture downstairs is very uncomfortable for anyone to sleep on.

Great spot a short drive from red river!

Love the hot tub and basement. Beautiful cabin. The only difficulty is that the GPS takes you about 5 miles from where the cabin is and then you’re supposed to call and get instructions on how to get to the cabin. The only problem is cell service is spotty in the area, so if you can’t get a call to go through you end up lost until you find cell service. Having the exact directions to the cabin as part of the check in instructions would help a ton. That’s a minor hiccup to an otherwise great place to stay on your vacation!

Great for families with kids. Suggest 4WD!

The house was very spacious and has all cooking utensils needed. Open concept and downstairs area was great for the kids. The middle guest room and bathroom stayed super warm for some reason. 4WD is HIGHLY suggested for the driveway! I will say that for the price we paid for a week here, the drive should have been plowed for us before arrival and before departure as we had 3 vehicles with us and had to dig 2 out.... (winter storm warning) House was pretty clean except for dead flies everywhere. We also had to haul off our own trash and gather all linens which was odd. Overall it was a nice Christmas getaway for 11 of us. Close enough to fun. There is a hill to sled down which was quiet fun! Highly suggest the snowmobile tour from the Sled Shed in Red River!!

House is as described, Sleeping was great. Not far from Eagle Nest, and Red River. Love the vaulted ceilings, and the Sunroom. Could use a deep cleaning. Everyone needs to know if they go in winter they will need a fourwheel drive or chains. Overall it was great, will stay here again.

Great location

Great rental for the family with plenty of room. Great location that feels secluded but close enough to both Red River and Eagles Nest to do all the things you want. The house was short on linens and could use a detailed cleaning. The indoor hot tub had a bad odor and the water appeared dirty. We did not use it. But the property overall is great. Great views, secluded and quiet.
