We loved the views from all the windows! It rained while we were there, so the lake and woods still felt accessible because of them. Loved the decor and peaceful feel to this place. Beautiful scenic area! Host (Julia) reached out proactively to give clear directions to locating the hideaway, and with dining tips since our stay was just prior to Memorial Wknd season opening. So happy we found this place!

Weekend getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Crystal View Hideaway. This charming one - bedroom cottage was clean, cozy and the bed was so comfortable I had to ask the host where I could buy the same sheets. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. There is even a coffee/ tea bar for our morning coffee on the deck with a beautiful view of Crystal Lake. This cottage is an ideal spot for a great sunset retreat or a romantic weekend in a park like setting. We would definitely come back .

Exceptional Lakeview Cottage
Our stay at this cottage exceeded expectations. The property is beautifully situated in a quiet wooded area with a clear view of the lake, offering both privacy and natural beauty. The home was immaculately clean and well-equipped, with every amenity thoughtfully provided for a comfortable stay.
The kitchen was fully stocked, the furnishings were high quality, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. Outdoor spaces were equally impressive—the scenery from the deck and evenings by the fire pit were highlights of our visit. Conveniently located close to downtown Beulah and Frankfort as well.
Communication with the host was seamless, check-in was straightforward, and all details were clearly communicated. This property is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a peaceful and well-maintained vacation near the lake. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
It’s amazing that a property can be so close to others and yet so private! The unit is tastefully decorated. Although the unit highlighted blinds, they are not room darkening, so if that matters, bring an eye mask. Beautiful stay.
Beautiful location with gorgeous lake views. Private yet close enough to everything you need. The communication with the host and management team were wonderful and the place was as cute and accommodating as the pictures show. We had a great stay, enjoyed all of the ambiance (battery operated candles) and fully stocked house with very comfortable bed and furniture.
Very clean with lots of amenities! Cute and very relaxing- host was very thoughtful and had tea, coffee, cooking necessities, and other items readily available. We even had use of a grill to cook out! Loved the stay! Definitely will come back. Great outdoor shower but the inside shower was small.

Place every day filled up with mosquitos when the air conditioner was on. The window sills, couch we sat on below the unit, bathroom, kitchen, all but the bedroom was mosquito haven. Windows were painted shut so the only way they got in was through the air conditioner above the couch. We went to bed at night and when arising in the morning the couch would be covered in the mosquitos. When you got up during the night for the bathroom the mosquitos covered the entire windows in the living room. This morning my husband made his coffee and when he poured it in his cup and added sugar/creamer, a mosquito landed in it before he could take a drink. The bathroom door was hard to open. The water did not stay warm long enough for a shower to be taken. Too many stairs to climb for our age of late sixty and early seventy. Was understanding it to be one level on the ground. No closet space to hang clothes. A regular hanger would not fit in it. Very little space for clothes to be put away. Very much enjoyed the seclusion of the home. Driveway a bit challenging though enjoyed the deer popping out to see you. Very much enjoyed the towns around the area. Very friendly people. Good restaurants in the areas. Very much enjoyed the freezer as we did charter fishing 3 times while there. The bed was comfortable, though too many pillows, one had to put them in the living room or by the kitchen table.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed our home's setting, bed, freezer and deer on the property, as well as the friendly local towns. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the hot water temperature, midges (mosquito-like but don’t bite), and that your hangers didn’t fit in the bedroom armoires. We are also sorry that the outdoor stairs were overlooked during your booking process.
We do always strive for total transparency, which is why our property listing accessibility section states that stairs are required to enter the cottage, including multiple photos of the exterior steps in the listing. We do our best to ensure guests have all the details upfront before booking, and are sorry it wasn’t noticed before you booked.
We are always available via phone to address any concerns expeditiously—such as water temperature or pests—but unfortunately, we were never contacted during your week stay so that we could promptly assist you. We pride ourselves on our customer response time and satisfaction, and are sorry we didn’t have an opportunity to take care of this during your stay. We did immediately get the water heater fixed upon learning of the issue, and also had our HVAC and pest control companies come out to find the source of the issue and provide immediate resolution.
We also apologize for the inconvenience of your hangers not fitting in our 2 armoires in the bedroom. Hopefully you were able to use the hangers provided, as well as the 8 drawers for your additional clothing.
Again, thank you for your feedback. We are always trying to be proactive and forward thinking in how we can make our guest experience as enjoyable as possible.
