Nestled among the trees along the peaceful shores of Thompson Lake in Otisfield, Maine, 25 Panacea is an evergreen oasis where home-like comfort meets the natural beauty of water, woods, and sky. The home offers a serene, private setting ideal for large family gatherings, allowing everyone to come together while still enjoying quiet, personal space. 25 Panacea includes an expansive three-level, six-bedroom home, along with a quaint two-bedroom apartment above the detached garage. The main house offers six well-appointed bedrooms: four with king beds—three featuring en suite baths and twin daybeds perfect for children—one bedroom with two full beds, and one with a queen bed. Our beds feature very comfortable memory foam mattresses with premium hypoallergenic pillows. A spacious basement living area adds even more flexibility for additional guests, with two pull-out queen sofas. There are four full bathrooms, including one with an oversized soaking tub and a Kohler heated air tub. The separate two-bedroom apartment includes two king beds and one queen bed, a shower, and a kitchenette with a dining table.

Mornings on the lake begin on the wraparound porch, where rocking chairs overlook Thompson Lake and the surrounding evergreens, creating a tranquil setting for coffee and conversation. Just steps from the home, a private T-dock, floating swim-up raft, canoe, and kayaks offer endless summer fun. Thompson Lake Marina offers boat rentals for water skiing, tubing, or leisurely cruises along the shoreline. The outdoor fun goes beyond the lake—enjoy games like cornhole, ping pong, and bocce ball, perfect for friendly competition.

The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features double ovens, gas and electric stovetops, and all essential appliances, centered around a large island with seating for four. It opens seamlessly into the dining area overlooking the lake, where the dining table comfortably seats 12 and can expand to accommodate 20+ guests. There is a comfortable seating area for up to eight, ideal for reading, doing puzzles, taking an afternoon rest, or enjoying relaxed evenings together. Adjacent to this space is a cozy conversation area overlooking the lake, set in front of the wood stove. Abundant windows frame serene lake views, and the space is complemented by screened-in porches, including one off the main-floor bedroom.

Summer evenings in Maine wouldn’t be complete without a campfire. Gather around the Solo Stove to roast s’mores and take in the endless, star-filled sky. Our home is equipped with two TV rooms with Smart TVs, an exercise area including a Peloton bike, treadmill, and free weights, as well as a pool table and a large selection of card and board games.
