Nice view, I used future resident spot to unload and then moved to parking deck. Luckily, parking deck was free because I left on Saturday.
There was only 1 trashcan in unit for bathroom. Not really an issue, but seems like they would have had one in kitchen area. Would definitely stay again. Thanks
Good Day Henry: I trust all is well. When you get a moment, please give me a call as I want to discuss your locate you rent out me as I want to express the unpleasant experience which led me to move from the location on this morning. Now keep me in mind this was a first experience as I did this in celebration of my birthday which I left TX to come to NC for this experience (of the history of Raleigh) and was disappointed for the following reason:- seem unkept (not well maintained)- bedding unclean- pictures were not a clear representation - I felt unsafe- Bathroom did not have a soak caddy- No trash can in the kitchen - No trash bags in the bathroom - The blinds were difficult to pull down to the bottom and also they were worn blinds on at least 2 of them- The remote controls for the TV in bedroom did not come on.- Did not find any remote for living room TV, don’t know where this device could have been- The bathroom sink was clogged as when I brush my teeth it have a very slow drain- Lightening was deem- Suggestion on this one: have a small night stand lamp- When I woke up this morning, I was unaware my stay would be under construction as the loud noise alone was enough to pack my pack my bags to leave- Last but not least, I made other accommodations which is unfortunate as I knew I would be unable to stay any more nights there. So it truly was an overnight stay as it was too late to leave the place.
Parking was a problem. It is a condo on the 20th floor in the Skyhouse building. We were given a card key for access to the parking deck that never worked. We were told to park on the street, but it was metered during the day. The host did pay or reimburse us for costs, but it was definitely a hassle.
The apartment is cozy, meaning small. But definitely a lack of amenities:
- There were no places for our luggage, like a luggage stand or dresser or table. We had to put them on the floor.
- There was only one towel rack for 2 people in the bathroom. There were also no plastic or paper cups available for rinsing, so we had to use glass in the bathroom.
- We were there for a week but were only given 1 towel, 1 wash cloth per person. And we shared one hand towel.
- The wifi was unclear, as there was a modem/router in the closet and one on the floor of the bedroom. Turns out the bedroom was the right one. The equipment on the floor was a tripping hazard.
- No bedside lamp or light, so needed to use the wall switch for an overhead light.
- The bed was a full size bed, not a queen size bed.
- Lighting in the bathroom was low, which made it hard to put makeup on.
- Following missing items in the kitchen: wine opener, bottle opener, mugs for coffee/tea, coffee maker, kettle, pot holder, dishwasher detergent, trash can.
- There was only one chair for a breakfast bar (an office chair)
Also missing were any kind of instructions in the room (wifi, garbage, move out).
