Check in was a miserable experience. My booking was never sent to the resort so they didn’t have my reservation when we arrived. Check in was finally successful after about an hour of phone calls and waiting. There were no blinds/shades in the master room. There was an existing bracket for shades however. You are also only provided with 2-3 small trash bags as big as a grocery bag so plan to bring those. The resort and location were great and there is potential to have a great vacation experience at this room.

Not a place I would ever recommend to anyone. There are too many rentals in Portofino to settle on this particular one, especially at the high rates they charge.The unit itself is very dated, starting from the filthy front door, the rusted drain in the sink, the cracked floors, broken toilet paper holder (we fixed it), random plate that doesn’t fit in the microwave, etc. We arrived to find two dirty and wet bath mats in the primary bathroom, hair in the bathtub and missing blinds on the windows/doors in the primary bedroom. Reporting all this immediately was a waste of time. On our 5 night stay, no one ever came to repair the blinds or address any issues. We were instead given a small refund on our nightly stay. The lack of communication was really the worst thing and the rest could have been resolved if they actually had a working system. The Beach GetAways manager did finally reach out on our 3rd night but basically apologized that nothing would be fixed so here’s what he could do…a little off and sorry. We did appreciate his attempt. Anyway, the resort property is nice, pools are great, restaurant wasn’t bad and we did the sunset cruise (extra 40 pp) which was nice even though extra. This is our 2nd time staying at the resort and our first experience and condo was quite different. I’m not sure we will come back though.
