The Blue Goose Retreat on the Texas coast - your home away from home while you visit the Bay City area. This fantastic property features 2 bedrooms with a queen and king bed, a cozy living room with a sofa bed, and a refreshing bathroom with a shower. With AC, heat, and Wi-Fi your stay will be enjoyable no matter the season. Escape to this serene retreat and unwind in comfort.
This comfortable and clean home is in a wonderful sea-side village of Sargent, Tx - near Bay City - and is in a marvelous location - it overlooks a canal and is 5 minutes by car or boat to the Gulf Coast seashore, Matagorda Bay, and the Intracoastal Canal. In addition to easy access to the saltwater features, it is across the street from a fresh-water river - 'Caney Creek'. Bass fishing at its best!
Each of the nearby water features provide unique experiences - sunning and beachcombing on the coast, watching porpoises cavot in the Intracoastal Water Way, birdwatching on the canal - or just chilling out on the sundeck over the canal and enjoying great sunsets.
The home is on 'stilts' and features an over-water sundeck where you can catch rays and birdwatch. Additionally, it has a large, covered patio with charcoal smoker / grill, and a large grassy yard to enjoy. We look forward to hosting you at our place.

Also, please turn off AC's and lights, and return the keys to the lockboxes outside. Thanks very much!

Your host
My family purchased this as an occasional get-away from our homes in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. It is a quiet, peaceful place where we love to gather once or twice a year.
Why they chose this property
The place is convenient to unique bodies of water - 5 minutes to the Gulf Coast seashore, the Matagorda Bay, and the Intra Coastal Waterway. The canal runs right behind the home. Across the street is Caney Creek. Many sun, surf, fish, bird and dolphin-watching opportunities!
What makes this property unique
Built on stilts for a great view of the canal and Caney Creek, and located on a double-wide grassy yard with paved and covered parking. Very little car traffic and boats on the canal are limited to no-wake speeds.
