We were up for a family wedding with 10 family members and the home was so spacious to spread out and we were comfortable. The property was peaceful and a beautiful ground , we had deer and wild turkeys run through, close to some beautiful beaches. Would recommend for a perfect getaway
This is a great spot! We love Reid State park and Georgetown--so this house is perfectly situated. Lovely house, lovely spot--we hope to return next year!
Such a peaceful and homey spot. We did not end up using the small cabin because we were worried about the steep stairs for our small children but it was perfect in every other way. Also loved the location, a bit tucked away but close to everything we needed.
The property was exactly as advertised. Wonderful screened in porch, perfect fireplace (with wood available), fire pit, comfy bedrooms and well-stocked kitchen. Near wide, sandy beaches.
Absolutely wonderful stay at Windy Hill and beautiful Georgetown Maine. The house was very comfortable just as described and Joseph was a wonderful host. We will definitely be back.

Like being a camp!
Had a great time at Windy Hill. Joseph is great to work with and made our staying here a smooth transition. Great yard and fire pit! Just a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach!
This is a very friendly place to stay. The beds are comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the porch. We had s’mores one evening in the fire pit. The only slightly negative comment is that the stove is old with electric coil burners, a little difficult to cook on. Thanks for the family pass to Reid State Park.
As a whole our family truly enjoyed our stay at this property. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival on how roomy , clean, and cozy this house was. We found it to be very safe for our 5 year old granddaughter. We went to Maine for the beaches and state parks but found ourselves being very lazy in the mornings enjoying coffee on the screened in porch. We will be back.
very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well equiped with utnsils. Wild turkey visitors every morning and evening. Season passes to Ried Park and Popham Beach wer very helpful. The owner was easy to contact for questions. TVs had great channel selections. Overall was a nice relaxing stay. The best Vrbo rental we have eve stayed in.

Maine forested peace
It was a nice decorated home with plenty of beds and baths. We really enjoyed the screened porch which was free from mosquitos and flies😏. I would definitely recommend this house. Also the owner Joe was very pleasant to talk and arraign our stay. Thanks Joe;))
This is a beautiful property and home, our family got together for a summer vacation, plenty of room for everyone, very short drive to Reid State park, which we loved, just a beautiful park, close to Five Island Lobster Co, which is a great spot to sit out and eat fresh seafood in a lovely area, close to Popham beach as well. The house is well equipped with everything we needed to cook right there. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you
Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Communication exceptional -- I misplaced/accidentally deleted the email with arrival instructions but didn't realize until shortly before arrival. Messaged Joe, the owner, and he responded within minutes. The children loved the beach at Reid State Park as well as Popham beach. The fire pit at the house as well as the screen in porch are wonderful! Many memories made! ❤️
The main house was well stocked with every possible kitchen need and there were plenty of cleaning supplies , however… the small guest cottage had a water break the day before we arrived and we were informed that there would be no water there . When our family checked in to that small house, there was mouse droppings, a chewed mattress , urine stains and a horrible stench , so at the last minute we were scrambling to find other accommodations in a rural setting. We booked this property because of the sleeping situation and space and were quite inconvenienced. The owner refunded us a small amount compared to the total cost , but We would not have chosen this spot if we were only going to have the large house to use .
Very nice place to stay. Would definitely stay again if we come back to the area. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and playing games in the evening. The beds are comfortable and the house is well supplied.
My family and I have stayed at Joe's place twice now and each time has been so special. It's secluded -- in the best way. You can see the stars and leave the windows open at night with nothing to hear but the trees in the breeze and the night bugs. The beds are so comfy, the kitchen is well stocked and it's a short distance to both Bath and Reid State Park. If this place is available, scoop it up before someone else does!!
We rented this property with 10 adults in our party. The bunk beds which were listed with no restrictions on the listing, indicated that only children should occupy them due to weight restrictions, so we were down 2 beds. Then the septic system failed and sewage came back up into the toilets and tub. This made the guest house unusable and we were down two more beds. Fortunately we brought an air mattress to use otherwisewe would have been short a few beds for our guests. The owner responded promptly to the second (more serious) report of issues and had a truck come out in a Sunday of a holiday weekend to address the septic issue. We had to clean the sewage out of the tub and all toilets were unusable for a period of time. Otherwise the house was nice and property was beautiful. It was nice to be able to build a fire in the pit outside with the wood supplied. The house has just about everything you could need for a stay there.
I always approach a rental with hesitations wondering if the photos are truly accurate of current conditions, if they give an impression of more space than there is etc. If anything, the photos cannot begin to adequately reflect the perfection of Windy Hill. The main house is cozy and inviting with more than adequate space. The cabin is a fairy tale experience in itself. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and surprised us with how many extras it had. The bathrooms were very spacious as were the oversized closets. The enclosed screened porch was the most used "room" for our family and was a total delight. We were totally pleased with every aspect of this property and the grounds. In addition, communication with the owner was always swift and positive. This was a totally satisfying experience and one we hope to repeat in the future.
We started a tradition of friends vacationing together and this place was the perfect spot to kick it off the ground. The location was private but close enough to all the amenities you'd need. In short. It was perfect.
We had a fantastic stay at Windy Hill. The location is lovely and the house and cabin are very comfortable and have all the amenities one could need. We hope to return!
