There are 1000's of acres of protected coastal forest hiking on Georgetown Island, as well as three very good restaurants. The mainland offers various excellent restaurants, fun shopping, and antique stores all within a 10 mile radius of Windy Hill. Relax & rejuvenate with us on island time in beautiful coastal Maine! The main house has oil-fired forced air heat and a 0-clearance living-room fireplace for chilly nights, as well as cool ceiling fans throughout for warm nights. Experience the quiet breezes of Windy Hill as they wisp through the large Pine trees surrounding the house as you sit on the porch gazing from the crest of undulating forest all around you. Georgetown Island comprises about 12,000 acres of land surrounded by ocean and rivers, and easily accommodates a busy summer population attracted to the its cool ocean air and easygoing lifestyle.
