About this property

The Loft - Garden Retreat at Black Pearl on Dyes Inlet

The Loft at Black Pearl on Dyes Inlet — cozy, private, and more connected to the grounds than any other unit in the collection. A full kitchen, a king bedroom, and a large grassy yard that opens directly onto the pickleball court and a garden path straight down to the beach. Every resort amenity at your doorstep, and a space that feels entirely your own.

Situated above the detached garage with its own private entrance, The Loft occupies its own quiet world above the activity of the grounds — a king bedroom, full kitchen, and living room with sofa sleeper, all wrapped in original paintings by Pacific Northwest artist Joel DeTray. Not prints from a catalog. Originals chosen for this room, in colors and scale that bring the Northwest inside from the moment you walk through the door. Guests who love art book The Loft specifically. Guests who didn't know they loved art leave talking about it.

Step outside and the property opens up — a large grassy yard leads directly to the pickleball court, and a garden path winds through mature landscaping down to the beach. Kayaks, paddleboards, a beachside BBQ grill, and a firepit wait at the water's edge. Look up through the canopy and you'll spot The Perch above. Look toward the water and the beach is a straight path away.

Full resort amenities included — private gravel beach, swimming dock, kayaks and paddleboards, beachside firepit, BBQ grill, mature gardens and patios, multiple waterfront lookout points, and pickleball court. Clamming at the beach. Bald eagles overhead. And on rare, magical occasions, orcas passing through the inlet just below.

The Loft is one of four units at Black Pearl on Dyes Inlet — a private waterfront compound where every space has its own character and entrance. The Helm is the flagship five-bedroom A-frame just steps away. The Waterwheel sits at the water's edge with its own over-water deck and private sauna. The Perch — opening September 2026 — is a modern glass treehouse perched in the canopy above, overlooking the entire estate. Each unit is available separately, or contact us to coordinate a full compound experience sleeping up to 22.

This is Black Pearl, where the garden meets the sea.

Guest Access
Guests have full private access to The Loft via its own entrance above the detached garage — king bedroom, full bathroom, full kitchen, living room with sofa sleeper, and a large grassy yard with designated parking directly outside.

Outside, guests have full access to all Black Pearl on Dyes Inlet resort amenities — private gravel beach, private swimming dock, kayaks and paddleboards with life vests, beachside firepit, BBQ grill, mature gardens and patios, multiple waterfront lookout points, pickleball court, and clamming beach.

Other units on the compound — The Helm, The Waterwheel, and The Perch — may be occupied by other guests during your stay. All guests share the resort amenities. To book the entire compound exclusively — all four units, sleeps 22 — contact us about full compound availability.

Other Things to Note
The Loft is above the detached garage and has its own private entrance — completely separate from the other units. It looks up toward The Perch in the canopy and has direct access to the large grassy yard, garden paths, pickleball court, and beach. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking on property. Pets — please inquire. The beach stairs are steep — please use caution. Life vests are always provided. We're happy to build a beachside fire — just ask. The Helm and The Waterwheel are available separately — inquire about full compound availability.

Oh I miss being in the loft! This is a studio apartment for 2-4 (if you use the sofabed) my husband and I found everything we needed was just right. The bed was extremely comfortable. I LOVED walking the rocky shore at low tide. I spent 3 hours one day watching some harbor seals hang out on the floating dock (thank you for the binoculars). The gardens are equisite (what is that white rose?) beautiful artwork throughout the property. Super convenient location. 10/10 we will be back.

The BlackPearl was a great spot to enjoy everything Bremerton has to offer. Great hiking trails close by, kayaking out the back door and pickleball in the front yard. Recommendations for local hot spots and activities were helpful in exploring the area. The waterfront fire pit was a great spot to enjoy the incredible view while catching up with a friend.

About the host

Your host

Host profile image
We’re a local, hands-on hosting team behind Black Pearl—focused on creating thoughtful, well-designed stays that feel both elevated and effortless.
We spend a lot of time on the Kitsap Peninsula ourselves, and what we love most is the slower pace, the access to the water, and the ability to truly unwind. That’s what we aim to create for our guests—a place where you can settle in, disconnect a bit, and enjoy the kind of stay you don’t want to rush through.
While we’re always available if needed, we’re intentional about giving guests space to enjoy the property on their own terms.

Why they chose this property

We chose Chico and the Dyes Inlet area for its unique balance of privacy and accessibility.
It’s one of those rare places where you feel tucked away in nature—surrounded by water, trees, and wildlife—but you’re still just minutes from town, great dining, and everyday conveniences. You get the best of both worlds: peaceful mornings on the water and easy access to explore Bremerton, Poulsbo, Silverdale, or even Seattle via ferry.
There’s also something special about this inlet. It’s calm, scenic, and full of life—from eagles overhead to seals and the occasional orca passing through. It feels like a true Pacific Northwest escape without being remote.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property special is the combination of true waterfront access, curated amenities, and a boutique, high-touch experience.
You’re not just near the water—you’re on it. Guests can launch kayaks from the property, gather around the fire pit by the beach, or spend the afternoon on the pickleball court. At the same time, each unit is designed to feel private and intentional, with its own space to relax and take in the views.
We’ve also focused on creating a stay that feels easy—from thoughtful touches inside the unit to being available locally if anything is needed. It’s that balance of independence and support that really defines the Black Pearl experience.
