Welcome to Avila Valley Retreat — a private estate that feels worlds away, yet places you minutes from the best of the Central Coast. Set on a secluded ranch just moments from Avila Beach proper, this thoughtfully designed estate was created for meaningful gatherings, relaxed celebrations, and time together in privacy.

Whether you are celebrating a Cal Poly graduation, hosting a family reunion, or simply reconnecting with friends, Avila Valley Retreat offers comfort, space, and room to breathe. While you are close to some of the region’s finest beaches, golf courses, and renowned wineries, many guests find it wonderfully difficult to leave the property itself — with its heated pool, jacuzzi, and sauna inviting you to slow down and stay awhile.

The estate is designed to encourage both relaxation and connection. Guests enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor entertainment, including ping-pong, cornhole, board games, a piano, and a karaoke setup — creating effortless opportunities for laughter, friendly competition, and shared memories across generations.

Surrounded by nature at its best, you may spot red-tailed hawks, blue herons, or the occasional wild peacock while strolling through the orange grove or relaxing poolside. Guests are welcome to gather fresh eggs from the chicken coop for a memorable farm-to-table breakfast.

For those seeking an extra level of care, we are happy to help arrange private chef services, massage therapy, yoga instruction, or personal training upon request. We are always just a quick text away should you need anything during your stay.

The home features five beautifully appointed bedrooms with comfortable permanent beds accommodating up to ten guests. For added flexibility, two high-quality rollaway cots are available upon request and may be placed in any room — ideal for children, teens, or guests who prefer not to share a bed. The oversized sofa in the game and piano room can sleep two additional guests, allowing the estate to comfortably accommodate up to fourteen.

We had an amazing three night stay at Avila Valley Retreat with friends and family. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and close to the beach and town. The home was spotless, the beds were comfortable and everything we needed was provided. Ane was an awesome host. The pool and sauna were a huge highlight and made the stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Perfect Avila Ranch Getaway

Everything was perfect. Our host was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. The farmhouse is nestled in the hills close to Avilla's downtown and beach area and is an easy walk or bike ride down a nice trail. The house provides 2 E-bikes, which is a nice amenity and it’s easy to rent more in town if you need more. The house had plenty of room for all our family. The kitchen is large and well stocked. It is modern and clean but still has that comfy and homey farmhouse warmth. Fine touches made it feel luxurious and special. I particularly made good use of the hot tub and sauna. I also enjoyed just sitting quietly in the morning with a latte staring out at nature. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool and playing games in the family room. There is a cute little chicken coop and the kids were thrilled to collect eggs. There is also a citrus orchard with with the most delicious mandarins ever. A serious treat. I was sad to go home, but happy for the relaxation time, time spent in nature, and the connections and memories made with family.

Family Weekend

Enjoyed a family weekend with our children and grandchildren at this wonderful home. Located only 2 miles from Avila Beach, the property is very private with beautiful views out each window. Well appointed with everything we needed from toys for the kids to a lovely fire pit.

Beautiful Modern Farm House with all the amenities

We had an amazing much needed week away at this modern gem of a farmhouse. The house is fabulous with all the amenities and the owner is super responsive and makes sure your taken care of. We highly recommend!

Amazing and tranquil retreat!

Spectacular and fully equipped house. Stayed with our extended family -- the owner left out toys for the kids and they loved getting the eggs from the chickens! Kitchen is fully stocked and everything in the house is brand new and as gorgeous as in the pictures.

We loved the privacy the house offered and the proximity to many great activities and beaches. Everything we wanted was within a short drive. Fabulous stay in San Luis Obispo!

We had a fabulous time at the farm house! Beautiful, super well appointed home that was great for both affording privacy and encourage community among our family group of 9. We greatly enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the chickens, the fruit trees, the incredible views, and the quiet. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by nature, but yet also just a few minutes drive from Avila Beach! We would definitely come back and stay here again. Highly recommend this property.

Fantastic Seaside Experience

House is even better than advertised and the owner went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of during our stay. Small touches like a welcome basket with snacks, wine and games for the kids were very much appreciated. Place was clean and well cared for and plenty of activities to keep us busy. Close to the beach but with such a beautiful backyard we found ourselves wanting to say at home for most of the stay. Definitely recommend and already planning when we can go back.

Absolutely fabulous farmhouse getaway!!

We absolutely loved this house and Ane's hospitality. The house was in mint condition, with plenty of space for us and our infant, our cousins and their 3 children, and our parents. We all enjoyed collecting eggs from the chicken coup, lounging by the pool, and cooking in the well stocked chef's kitchen. All the finishing touches were there to feel like you were at home and the place was fabulously decorated. We've rented many quality bnb's and this one is at the top of the list.!

A perfect family retreat

We spent a fun and restorative long weekend in this beautiful house. With four teenagers, we were looking for a space that allowed us all to have fun together, but also relax in our own ways. We found it this house, which provides lots of areas to connect, but also private spaces to retreat to. The pool is simply perfect, and the location in a beautiful canyon feels rural and private, yet is close to town and the beach. The winery and apple farms up the canyon were quaint and rustic, and there is great surfing on the area's beaches. Ane was easy to communicate with, and her hospitality was evident in so many ways. We are planning on coming back!

Amazing!

We had an amazing weekend here! The house was not only perfectly clean, it was beautiful. As soon as we walked in , being surrounded by the mature trees and mountains, we instantly felt relaxed. the back yard is perfectly landscaped and clean. We especially enjoyed the chickens, they are so cute and fun ! Ane the owner was also very accessible whenever we had a question, and left us a really nice welcome package which was a great touch. We have stayed in quite a few home during the pandemic and this was our favorite. We will definitely love to come back soon!

Beautiful Ranch House

Beautiful property! We were staying here for a wedding in SLO. We had three couples and 4 kids. Ann was determined to get us everything we needed and that was appreciated. Would definitely stay here again. Lots of outdoor space for our family to enjoy. The beds in the two kids' bedrooms are on the smaller side. It probably mentions their size on the listing and I didn't catch it. Not really big enough for two people to share.

Amazing!!

This home is incredible! We had such a fun and relaxing time staying here. It’s close to several beaches (Avila, Pismo, Morrow Bay, and more) and the location of the house itself is breathtaking. It’s nestled in green hills and surrounded by farmland, and so close to the ocean that we could often hear waves breaking in the distance. The home is brand new with all the latest smart-home technology. Bedrooms were spacious and inviting, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. There was plenty to do at the house, from watching movies to playing board games to relaxing in the pool and spa. There are also nearby trails that take you down beautiful tree-lined paths. The host was very friendly and responsive anytime we had a question about something. Perfect place for a big family or a few couples. Highly recommended!!

Gorgeous, immaculate dream home

Cannot recommend this house and SLO enough for a family vacation! The house is even more beautiful than the pictures -- very spacious, immaculate, modern. The bedrooms are in two separate wings so ideal if you have two families or people want space. Gorgeous pool and hot tub with mountain views. Fruit trees and chickens for fresh eggs! The kitchen has everything you could ever need, including two dishwashers. Indoor-outdoor California living. Ane was an attentive and thoughtful host. She left us an amazing gift basket, checked in on us, left lots of suggestions for things to do, and was easy to reach. SLO was such a perfect spot for young kids -- Avila Beach, Sinsheimer Park, Pirates Cove, Bob Jones Trail. Already planning our next trip!

Luxurious and Lovely vacation home

We stayed at the Farmhouse for a long weekend with friends and family to celebrate our son’s graduation from Cal Poly. We cannot say enough positive things about this property. Some of our favorites though were the awesome open kitchen and great room. Kitchen has everything you need and then some. This area opens up to the large and lovely outdoor space with a truly beautiful pool and hot tub with ample lounge chairs and umbrellas. There was plenty to do for all ages including playing corn hole outside or board games in the great room or den. The location is fabulous as you are just a few minutes to the Avila beach and about 10-15 to downtown SLO and the Cal Poly campus. Beach towels were of high quality and plentiful. When we had a question or two the owners were quick to respond. Highly recommend as an ideal gathering place for friends ans family.

Wow! Really beautiful home, super location, lovely owner!

We were looking for an amazing home with a pool and enough space for two close families to SIP together during the pandemic, and we certainly found it! The property itself feels super secluded in the SLO/Avila area, but is still close to the ocean at Avila, SLO, Pismo, and other activities. Full of beautiful trees, lovely views of the hills, and was really just a perfect location for a restful break. The home itself is a high-end, new beautiful space, with lovely furniture, all the tech-y amenities, and every appliance/pot/pan you'd ever need. We had 4 adults and 5 kids with us, and there was enough space for everyone, with a cool room for the kids to hang and watch TV in the evenings (one even slept on the giant comfy couch as he didn't want to share with his brother :)). Pool/hot tub area is lovely and clean... and the wildlife was fun to watch (they have chickens!) We brought a small volleyball game and croquet, so there's enough room on the grass for games. Ane (the owner) is great, easy to get in touch with, and there for any questions. We'd totally recommend this amazing home. 5-stars!!

We had such a wonderful stay here. We spent three nights at the property with a small group of close friends and family, and it was the perfect setting. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and the home is extremely comfortable with everything you could need. Loved the sound system for the Back yard!It truly felt like being in a well-loved home, not a rental.Ane was an amazing host and went above and beyond. She was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to have a small, intimate gathering with family during our stay. She provided tables and chairs and shared great local contacts for florals, linens, and catering, which made everything easy and stress-free.It was the perfect place for a meaningful time together and a very special way to celebrate welcoming a new addition to our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Why they chose this property

I have lived in Avila for over 25 years. I bought this Ranch with family gatherings in mind and built the home to do exactly that. Avila is the jewel of the central coast. With the perfect weather year round and activities all around us we couldn't find a better location to gather with our family. 10 minutes to everything but feeling totally tucked away is dreamy.

What makes this property unique

New modern construction, Heated pool, jacuzzi , Barrel Sauna, 3 acres with an orange grove and beautifully landscaped. You won't find anything better in this area.
