HARRISON'S HIDEAWAY is your family friendly home away from home. No matter what the season you'll love spending time enjoying the beauty of nature that surrounds you while being only minutes away from activities that are sure to please everyone in your family/group. We’re centrally located between downtown Traverse City and Suttons Bay/Leland and minutes away from the bike trail, wineries, golf courses and The Farm Club, one of our favorite places to eat among many!

HARRISON'S HIDEAWAY was established to honor the memory of our 5 year old grandson, Harrison James Mack, who passed away in 2011 while waiting for a heart transplant. A percentage of the rental income from HARRISON'S HIDEAWAY will be put into a special fund to support a charitable organization in his memory.

My husband and I have been vacationing in Traverse City for many years. Doug came up with his family as a child every year growing up and then after we married we brought our children and now they bring their children as well. We have enjoyed many countless hours of Pure Michigan pleasure with our immediate and extended families and now we want to share the beauty of this amazing area with our guests. No matter what the season there is always something for everyone in Traverse City. We can’t wait for you to discover and enjoy all the beautiful, amazing and wonderful things there are to see and do. And Harrison’s Hideaway is in the middle of it all!

Why they chose this property

We chose this home on this property because it connects to the family property we vacationed at with our children for so many years. We were blessed to have been given the opportunity to purchase this beautiful piece of heaven on earth 16 years ago and love the peace and quiet it provides.

Since purchasing our property we have completely renovated the 'barn' now known as HARRISON'S HIDEAWAY. It has a warm and cozy feeling when you enter and you'll immediately feel calm and relaxed when you look outside at the beauty of nature that surrounds you. Yet you're only minutes away from doing any of your favorite activities like shopping, golfing, snowmobiling, skiing, tubing, biking, fishing, gambling, swimming, boating, sightseeing and so much more! Perfect for a Family Vacation, Girls Getaway, 55+, Honeymoon or Romantic Getaway.
