Our two-story cabin was built in 2024 on a private peninsula, on eight forested acres having 500' of frontage on Straight Bay. Our "artist appointed" cabin overlooks the bay with its tidal islands and surrounding protected forests. Our property is a unique opportunity for birdwatchers, or anyone seeking to relax in a quiet, natural setting. Enjoy spectacular views from the comfort inside the cabin, or from either of two decks outside. Go down and sit on the rocks at waters' edge. Use our trails to explore our ancient forest. Or climb several 50-60 foot high rocky outcroppings. But bring your hiking shoes!
Lubec is also home to “Cobscook Shores”, a series of 20 parklands with trails along the Maine coastline to keep you hiking every day. The quaint town of Lubec is 15 minutes away where you can find harbor-side dining or take a whale-watching excursion. If you prefer to eat in, there are grocery stores minutes away and you can prepare your meals in our fully-equipped cabin kitchen and on the propane grill.
If you have not visited Maine before, you will appreciate the cool evenings even on hot summer days. (We often get that comment from guests.) And our northerly latitude virtually guarantees amazing sunsets. Star-gazing the southern sky is another guest favorite. We provide a pair of high-resolution binoculars, and can provide a telescope on request for a serious start-gazing enthusiast.
We hope you will enjoy your stay at our cabin, equipped with things to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We know you’ll love it as much as we do!
A note on booking our property: We try to manage our unique cabin property ourselves. We often travel from a distance between each guest. For this reason, we have established a manageable booking schedule. Check-in is only available on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Check-out is only available on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The minimum stay is 4-nights. It is possible to stay over a weekend with a minimum stay of 9-nights or longer. We will be happy to clarify any scheduling issues, just send us a message. Thank you.

Beautiful house and property. Very comfortable for our family. Highly recommend the stay to anyone going to the area. An amazingly tranquil and quiet little spot in Maine by the sea.
Lubec is beautiful and this cabin was perfect. We could not have been happier. And I had last minute confusion with dates and travel and the host was wonderfully communicative and responsive. Highly highly recommend!

Thanks for the great review Tanya! I hope the surgery goes well. Again, let me know directly if you ever wish to return. Mike
The home and property were outstanding! The views from the decks were beautiful! Loved the artwork and artistic touches throughout the home and property! The bed was very comfortable! I would love to stay here again! The owner was very quick to respond to questions. The kitchen had everything we needed.
What a lovely place! The owners are into the details for beauty, inside and out. The area outside has been landscaped to provide outdoor fun. The trails are great for exploring. The inside is inviting and very easy to settle in and relax. The artwork is so colorful and detailed. The moose paintings are impressive. Not everyone can paint a moose's snout and get it right. There is so much to see and do in this area. We explored the various trails and beaches daily. We give these AWESOME host 2 thumbs up.

Spring EscapeThis cabin is true to its listing. It was cozy yet spacious, quite comfortable and well appointed. It was quiet, private and we felt safe during our stay. The firepit was much enjoyed as was the guest Roku and the phenomenal view (wow!) …cue the bald eagle and shooting stars. We did not meet our host, but communication was quick and responsive. Check in/ out was fast and simple. Great spot to be in Easternmost Maine. Thank You
Mike and Linda have carved out a little slice of heaven for their guests. The property (inside and outside) was so beautiful, thoughtful, and well-designed! Our stay was incredibly comfortable, communication with Mike was very responsive, and Linda’s creativity in her paintings and the garden were just so playful and lovely. The views from inside and by the water, were peaceful and awe-inspiring.The listing is accurate, the place was very clean and tidy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the privacy and quietness felt amazing!I look forward to future stays! Thank you for offering this beautiful space, Mike and Linda!
The pictures do not show how amazing the property is and the hosts were very gracious. The house is perfectly situated to watch the (24 foot!!) tide changes and well appointed with modern appliances. To see that amount of water come and go in regular intervals was unique. The sunrises and sunsets were also incredible. This property is a modern artist's retreat and it was cool to see Linda's artwork throughout the house. Make sure to go into town to visit nearby Lubec for lobsters!
