About this property

Top Floor Suite +Pool +Private Path to Shore, A/C. Accessible step-less layout

Casa Milagro is a newly built enchanting Palapa-Style Home above the Oaxacan Coastline!

Experience stunning panoramic ocean views, with uninterrupted sunrises, moonrises, unforgettable whale sightings, and a perfect setting for stargazing.
We offer peaceful stays in a spacious, accessible living space with a step-less layout, pool, fully-equipped kitchen with a coffee bar, and optional free WIFI.
Casa Milagro offers native garden space, fruit trees, and private path access to Playa del Sol.

Our home was meticulously created to enthrall its inhabitants to coexist with the natural environment surrounding every square inch of this home and space. With 'Wet Season' running June-October and the 'Dry Season' from November-May, Casa Milagro was created to set the tone for whichever season calls to you more.

Ahead of your stay lays a bumpy, unpaved road with steep inclines surrounding you with emerald colored lush vegetation during the rains & golden colors in the dry months as the Pacific Ocean sparkles at you.
**A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended for arrival access and for ease with exploring the many other beaches and hidden corners of Oaxaca’s majestic coastline region.

Upon arrival, you will instantly recognize the serenity and reverence for the natural beauty of the area. Perched on a dramatic cliff, the home lays suspended between the ocean and the jungle. At the entrance of Casa Milagro, there is a stepless parking space with a native garden, Jardin de Gratitude (Garden of Gratitude) filled with flowers, fragrant trees, butterflies, singing birds, and benches for rest, writing or thinking to welcome you. On the left side of the entrance door are the stairs to the fruit garden, beach access path and entrance to the separate private second floor suite. Below, along the paved path and stairs you will see a labeled fruit garden comprised of a large variety of fruits which if ripe, will be picked by the groundsman and are complimentary to your stay if desired. Continuing through the gardens and paved steps will lead you to your hidden beach path at the property edge. The property is enclosed by a locked gate. Follow a slightly rougher terrain a few more minutes to enjoy Playa del Sol! Request a shade and hammocks in advance! 4 beach chairs and towels await you in the house!

Inside the entrance door of Casa Milagro, a mosaic stone turtle — symbolic of Mother Nature, becomes apparent to remind and encourage you to slow down and move at your own pace while enjoying your stay here. The kitchen lies to the right of the entrance, with its artisan-built ocean motif set into the working island, and soft blue walls paired with a seashell adornment that echo the sky and sea. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the culinary tools and supplies needed to cook a gourmet meal and settings for 6. A stocked coffee bar is available to the side, with a programmable automatic brew timer. Here you will also find your drinking water.
Across from the coffee bar is the utility room with cleaning materials, pool toys and life jackets, and a washing machine.
Between the coffee bar and utility room is the entrance door to the second floor below. While renting only the top floor suite, this door will be locked with only the home caregiver having a key.

Throughout the home you’ll find original Oaxacan crafted textiles rooted in local tradition and excellence. The signature furnishings of Casa Milagro are handcrafted woodwork. Every table, chair, door, shelf, and cabinet was made by Oaxacan Master Carpenters using a variety of local tropical hardwoods. Sourced, designed, and built with local materials, every detail of Casa Milagro has been thought of and finely combed over leaving no stone left unturned and every safety detail measured meticulously. With the home’s height and nature-immersed design, children must be supervised at all times if present during your stay.
With respect for the local wildlife and ecosystem, pets are not allowed at Casa Milagro. Service animals are welcomed.

The main living area of Casa Milagro is comprised of an open-air palapa projected over a cliff offering panoramic views of the Oaxaca coastline and beautiful Pacific Ocean. The living space is flexible and comfortable, offering built-in sofas, armchairs, hammocks, and lounge chairs. Overheard fans are present in every room offering continuous, fresh airflow. Customizable Accent lighting lets you change the atmosphere to your moment in this space and Bluetooth speakers are available to ensure the vibe is met. This space offers the versatility to configure itself to your desires and can also serve as a dance and/or yoga studio. Additionally, a queen-size Murphy bed transforms the living room at night into an additional open air sleeping space (mosquito nets available and recommended). The outdoor balcony offers a gorgeous open-air space accompanied by Casa Milagro’s unique offering, our private pool shimmering at the edge of the deck looking over the cliff and out to infinity.

The air conditioned Master Suite at Casa Milagro lies behind the stone-crafted wall complete with 2 screened and windowed sliding doors. Inside, a King Bed resides offering breathtaking scenic sunrise and full-moon views flanked by a full precious wood closet for your personal storage. Adjacent is the spacious full bathroom with double sinks and mirror along with a walkout ocean view shower with pressurized water-flow and warm/cold setting selection.

Three Ocean-view workspaces are available at Casa Milagro for your unique needs. Two are in the master bedroom and another between the dining room and kitchen. The dining room table is equipped with waterproof plugs in the floor for a larger workspace option. With tranquility and serenity at the center of Casa Milagro, we want to ensure stayers have access to the amenities of modern comfort. WIFI (via Starlink) is available and can be disconnected by choice as well.

Important Notes:

There is no air-conditioning in the open-air areas, by design. The design and orientation of the breeze and fans provide ample fresh airflow to provide a comfortable stay.

Playa del Sol, the hidden beach you have access to, has no lifeguards, facilities, or added conveniences apparent on the beach. Please practice water safety with respect to the ocean and surrounding space.

Guest access
Guests have access to the complete main floor and all surrounding grounds including steps to beach. The covered car port is reserved for the our Top Floor Suite only.

Beach access: ALL beaches in Mexico are public. Some are busier than others. Playa del Sol, located directly below Casa Milagro is the smallest of the three local beaches, just follow the cement stairs down from your door to the property edge, through the door to a rugged path a few more minutes down. It's very common that you will be alone.

Just a few minutes south of our bay is Playa Del Muerto which is a bit larger than Playa Del Sol as seen in provided pictures. Also secluded and private feeling, it has no amenities. Pack accordingly if you would like to visit. The path to is much more rugged than to Playa Sol.

A 10-15 minute walk just northeast of our bay is the largest of our beaches, Playa Boquilla also seen in provided pictures. This beach features a top notch small native restaurant, La Costañita at its entry and a fabulous large tourist restaurant, La Luna at the opposite end. Dine with them on the beach to use their lounge chairs. They provide excellent friendly service and you can always meet others from around the world on the beach if you are looking for company. If you don't feel like cooking, this is your home away from home! Dinner reservations are needed in advance by 12 noon. Daily activities include beach walks and shell collection, meditation, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, boat charters, paddle boarding, hiking, massages, books, tropical cocktails and hammock naps.

Other things to note
Casa Milagro sits within a natural dry forest, which means you’re truly immersed in nature. You are a guest in her world, with a front-row view of the local ecosystem. You may encounter insects and wildlife—this is part of the experience. We provide mosquito nets and recommend using them at night if you are sleeping in the open. If you’re sensitive to mosquitoes, please bring your preferred repellent for extra comfort.

Please also know that Casa Milagro is off the beaten path. The dirt roads can be rough, especially after rain, though they improve each year. We strongly advise avoiding night driving until you’re familiar with the route, as there are uneven areas and steep edges that can feel intimidating at first.

Casa Milagro is available as either a full-house rental or as separate private floor suites. This listing is for the exclusive Top Floor Premium Suite.

Guests have priority access to the private covered parking area located beside the main private entrance to Casa Milagro. Your reservation includes exclusive use of the entire top floor, including your own private pool and outdoor living areas reserved only for Top Floor Premium guests.

Guests also enjoy access to the stairway leading down to the Casa Milagro walkway, which provides direct access to Playa del Sol below the property. The stairway and beach walkway may be shared if there are guests staying in the lower-level suite.

Adjacent to the parking area and main entrance is the Jardin de Gratitude (Gratitude Garden), a peaceful garden space filled with tropical flowers, fragrant trees, benches, and hand-painted gratitude stones. Guests are warmly invited to participate by painting a special rock and leaving their own mark as part of the Casa Milagro experience.
For your beach experience, Casa Milagro can provide shade setup, hammocks, and four beach chairs upon request. Beach towels are always provided in your suite for your convenience.

Born in Oaxaca City, I met my wife in Chiapas and later moved with her to the USA where we built successful careers and raised our beautiful family. After many years moving through the high-pressure environment of American Industry, we felt called to the Oaxacan Coastline to rejuvenate. Feeling the need to escape and giving in to the inner pull, we returned to the Oaxacan coast to create Casa Milagro—our shared dream come to life.
