This is an awesome vacation home that you will LOVE! It is a free standing home with comfortable furnishings and well stocked supplies. Enjoy this special community from our beautiful home in Barrio De Tubac, a small community within walking distance of the artist village in Tubac, and less than a mile from the Tubac Golf Resort. As frequent VRBO guests ourselves, we know what we enjoy when staying in other’s homes, a designer home, geared towards comfort, with well-stocked supplies. We have picked out every item, from soft sheets, to bathrobes, to smart TVs that allow you to access your accounts with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc., with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. (No cable TV) You will love our 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with its’ 10 foot ceilings, gas kiva fireplace, surround sound, jetted tub, walk in shower, well stocked kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, private court yard, and back patio with comfortable seating and beautiful sunset views. Of course high speed wireless Internet is also provided, as well as two bikes, helmets and lock.
You will love being able to walk, run or bike on the Historic De Anza trail, only blocks from the house, then enjoy a nice glass of wine on the patio watching an amazing Arizona sunset! You will also really enjoy visiting the historic Tumacacori mission that dates back to the late 1600’s, or just relax at the pool and hot tub which is a short walk/bike from the house. You should also spend some time browsing the many unique art galleries that line the quiet streets of the Tubac Village. Our home is perfect for a romantic getaway, where you can spend your entire trip without ever leaving Tubac. The local market is just a short walk/bike from the house and has everything you need for a gourmet meal, including specialty cheeses and a very nice wine selection. If you love golf, as we do, you can spend your days playing golf at the famous Tubac Golf Resort or at a host of other golf courses in the area (Rio Rico or Green Valley). The Golf Resort also has a Spa and a great restaurant called the Stables. Our favorite spot for dinner is the exquisite Elvira’s Restaurant – within walking distance from our home. You will be blown away by the food and ambiance at this restaurant.
Finally, if you really enjoy hiking, biking or running, there are plenty of trails within close proximity, such as Madera Canyon, Elephant Head, and in Rio Rico. Tubac is also quite famous for birding, a very popular activity on the De Anza Trail, but you don't even have to go that far, as many species visit our back yard. There are even numerous vineyards, which host a wine festival in early August each year within a reasonable driving distance. Once you visit Tubac, you will always want to come back for more!
