Alpine Falls Chalet is a charming 4 bed, 3 bath getaway just 3 hrs from Boston & a short drive to Sugarbush. With a waterfall on site & scenic views from the deck and expansive windows, guests are within walking distance to Blueberry Lake & to nearby cross-country ski areas. Central to several Vermont ski resorts and the quaint towns of the Mad River Valley, this is a perfect mountain escape.
Alpine Falls Chalet is a beautiful multi-level mountain retreat set against a quiet sweep of woods and private waterfall. The wide covered porch and stone patio with firepit offer multiple outdoor vantage points to take in the scenery. Oversized windows maximize natural light throughout, and provide a view to breathtaking mountain and stream views.
The first floor features an open living and dining room space, with a dining table ideal for large groups, a comfortable sectional couch, and 3 seater sofa. The room is framed by a row of windows plus direct access to a long covered deck providing views to the surrounding mountains and the waterfall on the property below. Lounge by the TV or the warming propane fireplace and feel nature surround you,
Adjacent to the living room, a large kitchen boasts rich wood cabinetry paired with dark countertops that offer plenty of workspace for preparing meals, a kitchen island, and windows offering an abundance of natural light. The first floor also features a guest room with a bunk bed with a double bed on the lower level and a twin above, along with a pass-through bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Upstairs, a generous primary bedroom features a king size bed, vaulted ceilings, oversized windows, a seating area and an en-suite bathroom with a separate tub and walk-in shower. This level also includes a guest bedroom with a king size bed, and an spacious loft area with a queen size bed, a sitting area with a sofa that converts into another queen bed, a TV and a bathroom with a shower/tub combo accessible from both the guest bedroom and loft.
Evenings invite you outdoors to relax by the fire pit where the air turns crisp, the forest goes quiet, and the sounds of water and wind set the pace. Take in the picturesque surroundings or set out to explore the nature that abounds close by this cozy home.
With easy access to hiking, skiing, swimming holes, and scenic drives, Alpine Falls Chalet places you right in the heart of all the fantastic outdoor recreation that the Mad River Valley has to offer.
Guest Access:
Guests are welcome to use the entire house with the exception of the locked owner's closet and certain restricted areas within the basement.
The Neighborhood:
Alpine Falls Chalet places you in the heart of the Mad River Valley, where locals know exactly how to spend a perfect Vermont day. Start with craft beer at Lawson’s Finest Liquids or a laid-back pint and live music at The Blackback Pub.
Need to gear up? Splinters Boardshop has you covered for mountain-ready apparel and essentials. For a casual bite, grab wood-fired pizza at American Flatbread, tacos at The Mad Taco, or a sandwich and creemee from Canteen Creemee Company.
Browse Vermont-made goods at The Warren Store, then unwind with a restorative session at Savu Sauna. For dinner, locals love the barbecue and beer list at Prohibition Pig, the seasonal plates at Hen of the Wood, or an elevated meal at The Pitcher Inn.
When it’s time to hit the slopes, you’re minutes from Sugarbush Resort and the scenic Nordic trails at Blueberry Lake Cross Country Center.
Getting Around:
Alpine Falls Chalet is just 3 hours from Boston. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the I-89 S, I-93 S and Vermont Rte 100 S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
Other Things to Note:
Any activities involving the creek on the property are undertaken at your own risk. All bedroom windows with no coverings face the surrounding forest.
