I have travelled quite a bit in my life and rented many places.. this was by far my favorite rental home ever. The pictures just can’t fully give it justice. It was a fabulous stay!
This property is one of a kind, and absolutely amazing. We had enough room for everyone, and it was comfortable, and inviting. Can not say enough good things.

Great place for downtown trip
Great way to be close to the museums and just off central. We had a smaller group but there is plenty of room for a large family. Well appointed with old school charm. Only inconvenience was the pool cleaning device prevented us from actually swimming in the pool and water was still too cool for granny despite heating for an extra daily charge. Would stay again.

Hi Sally, thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback as a means to continually improve our homes for future guests.
We hope to host you for another truly carefree and great vacation in the future!
We loved our stay! Beautiful home, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The only complaint I have advertising accuracy. It stated it had a heated pool and waterfalls, but when I asked about the pool, we had to pay an additional 85 per day to heat the pool and water flows were not on.
Our guests were very impressed with the home and the neighborhood. The home is very well equipped and beautifully appointed. The pool and patio areas are lovely. We will return.
The property was beautiful! Each room was well kept and there was plenty of room for a large group. The pool area was really nice but I would definitely recommend packing bug spray. Very close to downtown Phoenix. Check-in and Check-out were really easy and overall loved the stay!
Excellent for large groups, ecelctic and impressive
Our organization had an executive retreat at this home. The location was great, the house accommodated 6 adults with privacy and comfort. While there was some confusion about light switches (there are way too many for plain logic), the stay was comfortable and nice.
We loved our stay! The location was perfect for our daughter’s GCU graduation. Close to the airport and GCU, in a safe, walkable neighborhood. We enjoyed being able to walk to the museums, restaurants, and grocery store. (Make sure you try Forno 301 for great Italian food!) We comfortably had 10 in the house with plenty of room to spread out. The yards were meticulously landscaped and the backyard/pool area was so beautiful and green that you forget you are in Central Phoenix. :) The only downside is some of the shower heads could use replacing along with a few air filters. We will definitely stay again, when in the area.

Beautiful house
An impressive historic home with lots of room, many unique features, lots of charm and beauty. Room for everyone in your group to be comfortable, centrally located, great neighborhood, very walkable area with close access to public transit, lots of secure parking. Several spaces in the home for all of us to sit and chat, eat together, watch videos, and to enjoy the lovely weather outside. Both owners and caretaker were super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time at Phoenix Manor!
Had a wonderful time, beds and location excellent. Kitchen well equipped only complaint no dish towels or dish rags. Also no cleaning products . House worked wonderfully for a large gathering would recommend .

Great location!
Our group stayed at the Phoenix Manor while we attended a conference at the conference center. The access to the conference center was so easy. We used both the Metro lite-rail and ride-share transportation. For our group it was about the same price for both.
We all loved having our own space and not having to share but there was plenty of room for more if we had needed it. It was lovely to have the dining spaces to gather in the evenings!
Our only concerns were some of the beds were older and not so comfortable. Also the pullout beds were not great!
Overall, we would recommend this location. We felt very safe even though we were fairly close to downtown and the services nearby were perfect for our needs.

Very disappointed
We were very disappointed with the deterioration of this home. Master bathroom was un un-useable both shower and bathtub were broken, pool was dirty and murky, A/C in bottom room was broken. Cleaning staff left dirty cans and bottles from previous guests, Kitchen exhaust is broken, wifi was extremely slow and at times not working. We contacted the property management company and nothing was done for the time we were there. I wouldn’t recommend this home to anyone.

Perfect, except…
The home was truly immaculate. The 1920s architecture exquisite. The backyard patio beautifully landscaped. Very secure gated home and yard. We celebrated my aunt’s 80th birthday with 4 generations, and there was plenty of space and activities for all ages. Tons of comfortable seating. My only complaint is that the listing says HEATED pool under amenities, but then only wayyyyy down at the bottom of the many paragraph long description of the house does it say that renters must contact Vacasa 36 hours in advance for the hear to be turned on. We got there depending on the pool to keep all the kids engaged, and it was freezing. Calling and texting the provided numbers connected us to India where we received very polite responses, but zero information about when or whether the heat could be turned on, but immediate billing of over 300 to have it heated. Twenty four hours later a guy came by, but we only got one day of comfortable temperatures. Second communication issue regarded a deep flooding of the front, back, and side yards. We called India again and they had no idea what we were describing, even though we sent photos. Again, a deep scroll into the website said that this type of flooding come from city overflow sometimes, and not to worry. So, yes, an exquisite home, but a poorly designed Vacasa listing and terrible support once in the house.

Phoenix’s Best Historic Home Rental
Truly the most stunning home we’ve been to in Phoenix—a work of art and history!
We decided to have our wedding party stay here for our wedding weekend which helped create a more inclusive and memorable experience. The home (mansion) was perfect because of the size, ornate details, and majorly, its central Phoenix location.
The guest rooms are quite cozy and provided great comfort for our guests. The master bedroom however was very spacious, providing a lot of room to get wedding-ready! I really loved the makeup mirror/area, private access to the terrace and a very cool bathroom!! The terrace was my favorite part of the whole house—windows all around, TV, coffee bar, mini fridge and private spiral staircase to the downstairs kitchen area. Morning of the wedding it was nice to open up the French doors of the terrace to let the cool air in and watch the sunrise on such a special day. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary items + had some catering kitchenware for larger groups.
The day after the wedding (Sunday) we swam in the heated pool and watched the Cardinal’s game on the big TV in the main living room. The pool was super lovely with a nice waterfall and exotic plants lining the exterior. The jacuzzi was even better—piping hot and so relaxing after a full day of wedding craziness.
Marvin, who works for the property was so so kind and checked on us and the home often.
FYI, park across the street in the large church parking lot to not crowd the driveway. Street parking is not permitted.
Each of our guests agreed we must rent it again for a holiday or another get-together. Staying here made our wedding weekend the most magical set of days we could ever imagine.
We would 100% rent again in a heartbeat, can’t wait to be back!! Thank you so much for allowing others the opportunity to see a piece of Phoenix history!!
