The Turmpalais is located in the attic of the tower at Schedling Castle. With its spacious layout spread over three levels, it accommodates five people and offers an unparalleled view in all four directions from its lofty height, far above the rooftops of Trostberg.
The Turmpalais is situated on the top floor of the medieval tower, offering magnificent views in all directions. Here, high above the rooftops of Trostberg, you’ll find a holiday home with three living levels that accommodates up to five people.
A spacious living area with large roof-to-floor windows, an open fireplace, a tiled stove, and a stunning loft area are undoubtedly the highlights of this holiday rental. From here, you can access the wonderful outdoor seating area in the picturesque arched walkway with an open fireplace, the tower room with a solid-wood bed and a view of the castle’s inner courtyard, and the bathroom in the archaic vaulted dome. With its exclusive whirlpool tub, relaxing rain shower, and sweeping view of the horizon, the bathroom is a wellness oasis for body and soul.
A winding staircase leads upstairs to the next bedroom with a small seating area and a view of Schedling Castle, and on to the living gallery with a beautiful sitting area and a magnificent view. Up here, at the highest point of the tower, a wide wooden plank walkway with wrought-iron balusters leads to the third bedroom with a romantic four-poster bed.
At the Turmpalais in the tower of Schedling Castle, you’re close to the Bavarian sky.

The Inn-Salzach towns also include Burghausen, Laufen, Mühldorf, Neuötting, Rosenheim, Tittmoning, and Wasserburg. The charm and unique character of these beautiful old towns are sure to captivate you. They are all located in the immediate vicinity of Trostberg. In Burghausen and Tittmoning, you can also visit a medieval castle complex.
At over 1,000 metres, Burghausen Castle is the longest in Europe.
In Trostberg, you’ll find the City Museum, the Postsaal with its diverse cultural programme, the city cinema, a spacious recreation centre with a swimming pool, mini-golf, and an artificial ice rink, tennis courts, a bouldering gym, and the Chiemgauer Pferdewelt equestrian centre.

Lake Chiemsee, just 15 minutes from Trostberg, is Bavaria’s largest and most famous lake, with its three islands. Herreninsel, home to the famous Herrenchiemsee Palace—built by the “Fairy-Tale King” Ludwig II after the model of the Palace of Versailles but never completed due to his death—and Fraueninsel, an idyllic fishing island with a southern European flair and the imposing Frauenwörth Monastery complex, attract visitors from all over the world.
The wide range of recreational activities in, on, and around Lake Chiemsee leaves nothing to be desired. From swimming fun at spacious beach resorts or picturesque coves, to sailing, surfing, or stand-up paddleboarding, to a boat ride in an electric, rowing boat, or pedal boat, a grand tour of Lake Chiemsee aboard the Chiemsee steamboat, or cycling around the lake on the beautiful bike path—there’s something for everyone.
