The kitchen is a cook's delight with well-lit countertops, all the cooking essentials and appliances to whip up mouth-watering meals, including a dishwasher to help with the cleanup. Fire up the gas grill when you want to enjoy cooking on one of the sunny decks. This deck also features the ultimate amenity when it comes to relaxation: your very own hot tub, the ideal place to gaze at the Milky Way at night while sharing a special moment with your friends or family. Settle in to enjoy the entertainment center with a selection of board games and puzzles, or use the high-definition TV with surround sound. There’s even a Nintendo with 30 classic games.
Footloose is on a sunny, cul-de-sac, with a partial ocean view. Guests have access to over 50 miles of private hiking trails. Guests will also have access to three recreational centers with pools, tennis courts, basketball; the nearest rec center is only a five-minute drive. The 18-hole Sea Ranch Golf Link Scottish-style course is three and a half miles away offering unique views of the Pacific Ocean seascape. Gualala is only five miles north where you’ll find easy dining options and shopping for groceries or gifts.

Guest Access:
From the kitchen to the deck, everything in this home is at your disposal. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. This home welcomes up to 1 dog -- the yard and nearby trails are ready for your pup. Parking is available in the garage for small compact cars. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities, including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.
The Neighborhood:
The home is located only a five-minute walk to the nearest trailheads, a 15-minute walk to the ocean bluff trail, one mile to the sandy Shell Beach, a 10-minute walk to the nearest redwoods hiking trail, and a 0.7-mile walk to the historic Sea Ranch Chapel. Explore over Sea Ranch's 50 miles of trails, discover tidepools at low tide, swim in heated community pools, and end the day with dinner at The Sea Ranch Lodge. Gualala is a quick 10-minute drive south for groceries, dining, and fuel. For a scenic outing, Jenner and Bodega Bay are further down Highway 1.
Getting Around:
Sea Ranch is located on the Sonoma Coast, approximately 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1. The closest airport is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area. The scenic drive along Highway 1 is part of the experience.
Other Things to Note:
High-speed fiber-optic internet and WiFi are available. It's perfect for streaming entertainment, working, and Zoom meetings; however, Good to know: it can occasionally be spotty in bad weather, but generally very reliable.
Verizon service is the best cell service; other services are spotty and unreliable.
Good to know: this home is on the East side of Highway One above the road. There may be occasional traffic noise.
An outdoor nook is available to hose off anything that needs to be hosed: freshly caught fish, ocean-drenched/sandy doggies, beach toys, etc. If you drive a compact car, you are welcome to park in the garage; the clearance is too tight for standard cars, SUVs, and trucks. Good to know: all Sea Ranch recreation centers are closed until further notice. The work-from-home experience is a joy with fast fiber-optic internet, available from every corner of the house via mesh WiFi, and enhanced by Nest.
Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.
Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday. Good to know: this home is on the highway side of the road, so you may hear some road noise.
