The holiday rental is 200 metres from the market square, from where you can explore the historic old town of this idyllic Harz town. The old town is characterised by its half-timbered houses, including the medieval town hall, the adjacent Gothic House, the famous Leaning House, sections of the old city wall, and the medieval Westerntor gate. High above the town in a prominent location stands the romantic Wernigerode Castle.
From the castle terrace, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the town, the Harz Mountains, and, of course, the Brocken.
It’s no wonder that the castle is one of the most visited attractions in all of Saxony-Anhalt.
Small boutiques, cafés, and restaurants in our old town invite you to linger in every season. In just a few minutes’ walk, you’ll find yourself in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Harz forests.
The Westerntor station of the Harz Narrow-Gauge Railway is just a 2-minute walk from the holiday rental.
You’ll also find a supermarket nearby if you’d like to pick up some groceries.
